A new feature in Windows Media Player 12 on the latest leaked build of Windows 7 has been discovered, it is called "Allow Internet Access to Home Media" and is tied to your Live ID when activated. It's currently unclear as to how exactly this might work, but it sounds like something similar to Orb where as you leave your home computer on and are able to log into a secure website that allows you to browse and stream your media content over the internet. Hopefully Windows Mobile devices will be able to access and stream this type of content as well. How cool would that be?

Now that would be something that would make me consider switching to WMP.

  3. interesting... that would be good if MS really would make this happen..... but how much expectation do we have from MS... so far..?

of course it will be like remote desktop, where you need authentication to have it streamed, think about it, you can still stream music with remote desktop and just bring the sound to the computer u are accessing through it, because what is there to hack from computers?

so..is this somewhat similar to iTunes, where you can stream other people's libraries? Although...this would be fun...streaming music to a friend's house....now, if only they allowed us to dl what we liked as well
