^i have heard some people refer to it being sorta ok, like in America, i know for a fact that Muslims marry their cousins. its not considered incest and some states allow marriage, some dont i believe. In the UK it is legal to marry a cousin or 2nd cousin though its frowned upon.

2nd cousins i don't find too gross since the majority of the time 2nd cousins are because of marriage..... so they aren't related by blood at all its just the person who married into the family got to the other family member first... not sure if that makes sense.... but yeah... 2nd cousins should be 'alright' =\ but direct cousins, no...... i frown upon that.... they are at least half related to you.... BY BLOOD

2nd cousins are usually the cousins you get by a marriage in the family... like say your brother marries a woman.... therefore the woman would be your sister in law.... the woman's cousins would therefore become your 2nd cousins
yup cousins you grew up with is especially gross but if you find you have the same blood i dont see why you would want to marry.. from MY understanding second cousins are your cousins children so its like their blood is watered down twice from your own due to your cousins mom/dad that your not related to and the 2nd cousins mom/dad that your not related to. the ones you get by marriage is in-laws, i dont see a problem withj that as they are not blood, unless you grew up with them as in-laws or something. you meet a girl and someone in your fam marries that girls mom then that girl is your in-law!!
It's scandalous to legalize incest. It's one of those taboos that we instantly turn away from but for Romania to declare it legal, I guess it must have been a rampant act in their country.
