Ok, Heres the story! Every state and country runs differently so I'll give a short brief explanation of how you get into University In Melbourne. Every year 12 at the end of year does a series of exams known as VCE. The scores are added up and the maximum you can get is 99.99. Most schools normally allow you to do 5 subjects in year 12 unless your really confident and you are able to handle the stress you can do 6. In year 11 in prepration for year 12 you do your selected subjects which are known as 1/2 courses and 1 or 2 subjects you would be eligable to do the 3/4 (which counts to your VCE enter score). You can say this was partially my fault or I was lazy but this is uterlly bullsh*t. I didn't know that the work you did in Year 10 would affect my eligibity to do the subjects I wanted to do in year 11 and 12. I found out in mid term (year 10) and I was like sh*t and I studied my ass off afterwards. Once again I did well in school and no longer bludged. The selection for subjects came and I chose Biology (3/4) Chemistry (1/2), Physics (1/2), Mathmatical Methods CAS (1/2), English (1/2), Accounting (1/2) and Chinese Second Language (1/2). I got into every subject EXCEPT Biology (3/4) WHICH was the most important subject I needed to get into because it would remove some stress I would have in Year 12. The head of biology rejected my application for Biology (3/4). I asked him why and you know what he says? "Son, have a look at your FIRST semester grades... You didn't do that well and you know it yourself" I said "Yes I know but have you accessed my Second Semester and my Final Examination results? I made all the criteria and The coordinator for VCE examiations have said yes as well as my tutor and head of house YET you say no. He says " Yes because I have the final say and I believe your not ready and I can't allow you to drag down all the year 12's who will work hard next year and yeah too bad. I was like... WTF WHO GIVES A SH*T ABOUT FIRST SEMESTER??"Hes like yeah well even if you did well in your second semester and final examinations I dont care JUST LOOK AT YOUR FIRST SEMESTER" Then ... it goes on and on no matter what I do I can't change his mind cause he has the final say.... It's sort of like Australian Idol or So you think you can dance but if one person says no then your screwed. Then I finds out he lets this kid who FAILED... COMPLETELY FAILED his science exam do Biology 3/4 and I just CRACKED... Then funny thing is the kid that failed... droped Biology 3/4 4 weeks later HAHAHAH ... man at the end of my year 12... I am just going to go up to that teacher and go FU*K YOU , YOU LONELY PIECE OF SH*T then im going to just trash his car!! -madsign1 AHHH I WROTE LIKE A BLOODY ESSAY MANN IM SOOOOOO FURIOUS!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE HIM IN HIS BIO 3/4 CLASS I JUST WANT TO!!NWjikfjhawsofhwOEFHEW and apprently hes racist to asians... JUST GREATT !
I know you're frustrated but paragraphs are your best friend. I say fuck him, take your case to your headmaster
TBH try and sue the school lol.. if u didn't know that year 10's grades were taken into account and if some other people you know didn't too.. then SUE them AMERICAN style! No offence the schools should tell every parents and students which year gets taken into account for imporatant options years
yeah like f*cking hell PARTIALLY my fault because I took so much influence from ex VCE students (who are successful) and tell me year 10 is not important and yeah flow through it.... then I realize HELLO I go to a private approximately $100 a day school not a free gov school lol... but still I redeemed my self... yet ONE a**hole tell me I cant do it and thats my school future....
well im sure that when you apply for uni... surely you can ask to do an extra year on foundation biology or something... my friend is doing chiropractic and basicly didnt get the mark for biology and the uni offered him an extra foundation year to complete before he does his actual course...
isit just me or am i the only one that doesnt really have the ambition to get a high educational qualification? im only doing a degree so its "easier" for me to get a higher paid job thats all.. i dont care where i work lol
Pfft...honestly if you want top do forensic in uni, just do it, all high school things you did ends up been useless in uni...<_< Wow looks like private school has jerks as teacher LOL
yeah.... that blows... the teacher is clearly singling you out... the first semester shouldn't be taken into account once the second and final grades have been improved.... and yeah most shit you do in uni have nothing to do with what you do in high school.... its like you repeat the courses over again
LOL... I just love how kids always blame the system or a teacher for their own misery. It wasn't like they just popped this on him at the last minute. My question would be, why should the system accommodate itself to him? As far as the teacher is concerned, he probably just views him as another mediocre student who realized too late that school has importance; so now he's studying his ass off after the fact? But so what, who cares? The students who had been doing well all along without having to be chased after; well... it seems that those are the ones getting the teacher's support first. And the teacher's right. He's not taking the risk that a student with inconsistent grades would drag down the good workers. As for the student who realized late that this was important shit after all? Meh... you get dozens of those poor performers every year. The best lesson you can give them is, that they deserve what they get. So let them work even harder to prove themselves. My suggestion to the OP is, realize that you did this to yourself and that you are the only one that you can blame. No, not partially like you alluded to, but fully to blame. You have to now decide if you're going to keep bitching at the world and blaming everyone else for your mistakes (teachers, other students who "told you the wrong thing" etc), or just grow yourself up and drive on. Here's a clue, mister: In the final analysis, no one but you really cares; so you have to decide what to do with it. And to prove the OP's got brains? Leaving an electronic trail of evidence in this thread, of his intent to threaten or bring harm to another? And this guy wants to work in CIS? Now I'm really ROTFLMAO... -bigsmiles
^as much i hate to agree with ralph, that should be the way everything works, you fuck up your first year you gotta take responsibility.
LOL ralph I can see what your trying to say but you do understand I didnt screw up my first year? I screwed up my first Semester and THAT shouldn't be taken account of and if all teachers who I have spoken to such as the VCE 3/4 Coordinator, Head of House, Tutor and my Science teacher all said I am eligable to go in to Biology 3/4 its soo clear that the Head of Biology is singling you out.. lol ralph... you think you right 24/7? Well Mr your wrong! Your advice is good most of the times but sometimes you not being in the situation, you simply cannot give advice for what happened. As you can see from Mr_evolutions post I was fairly angry and when people are angry they say things... For example if someone says OMG I WANT TO KILL HIM, do you really think hes going to kill him? Please use some common sense Ralph, I apprieciate your comments but it simply isn't right
