A predatory paedophile who had a string of previous convictions and was known to the police has been found guilty of raping a 12-year-old boy. Craig Bennett lured the boy into a field, offering £10 to help him look for his lost dog, before raping him. The prosecution said he made up the story to "satisfy his perverted and grotesque fantasy of abducting and abusing a young boy." The jury heard that the boy was forced to undress, before having his hands bound behind his back with his own belt and Bennett's belt tied around his neck. Bennett then raped him and strangled him, telling him he was "not bothered about police", the jury of eight women and four men heard. The 45-year-old, who is in a civil partnership, smoked a cigarette before leaving the distressed boy, who managed to flag down a car and tell the driver: "I've been kidnapped, I've been raped." Bennett, of Stuart Close, Darwen, Lancashire, will be sentenced later.
i don't wanna post but this story really pisses me off .. this fucking old bastard should be executed ... i don't care how expensive it is .. for a rape, we are sure he will not get life without parole so yeah i think such people should be rid of before someone else get harm ... we all know that such prisoners eventually get parole and the story repeats itself all over again .. fuck therapy .. the boy will be scarred for LIFE .. it is story like this that i wanna kick those fucking anti-capital punishment people in the ass for creating many road blocks to proceed with the process. if anything, i wish the very worst to happen upon their families and see if they can be so forgiving to the criminals. to me, these people are no difference from those accomplices in crimes.
the thing about capital punishmentis that i dont trust it in the hands of humans, what about all the people who get killed and were innocent. im sure your aware of cases were 'evidence' is planted etc, thats why im not for capital punishmentbut this guy needs to get sent to a prison in mexico or something.
Be wary of the fact of your anger being the only thing that is true about this tale. Stories like this always remind of the dilemma in the Oxbow Incident, where something repugnant supposedly occurs and a mob then decides that only it, is enabled with enough moral fortitude to deliver the 'proper' justice needed in the case. Then, upon delivery of the harsh, but needed justice, the mob finds out that those they had just executed were innocent after all. Considering the large number of documented cases within the criminal justice system, where innocent men had been incarcerated and have sat on death row, only to be ultimated exonerated; I hesitate to be the one who 'pulls the switch' so to speak.

Scary... reminds me that are a lot of sick bastards out there. I don't know but somehow I feel like life imprisionment is harsher then the death penalty.
it is, but then some will argue that they get free food, living, and that the taxpayers are paying for that free lifestyle
people are put in prison for the benefit of the taxpayer and non-taxpayers, so we have to pay for it. those people who moan about it are stupid and need to go prison for themselves so when/if they make it out they will appreciate the fact that their money is keeping crazy people behind bars, either that or we just kill everyone for the sake of saving a few pounds. it is a free lifestyle that comes with all the other problems of being in prison and its the tax payers money that keeps them there. i would much rather pay my tax and keep those people out of normal society than be in prison myself and not have to pay for anything at all. maybe they choose begging and sleeping rough over becoming some big guys wife.
it could also be argued that killing them will solve the problem of them in society, and not waste money so the question is, capital punishment or no?
imo it depends on how much you want to save on tax money, we generally dont see prisoners so its not like they are disrupting our life in any way so its all about the money. It also depends on weather you consider a human criminal to be a 'waste', not all prisoners are serial killers, the majority are not. as for capital punishment, to much innocent people will get killed, if just one innocent person gets killed then i would rather we didnt have it, i would rather see people wrongly locked up for 27 years and released than have them murdered 'accidently', or in some cases purposely. capital punishment gives the government way to much power.
