NDSi can't read R4?

Right, apparently the new NDSi can't read R4 is that true? Only Acekart can?

Has anybody got an NDSi? lol, is it better than the DS Lite?

I don't have a NDSi myself, but I know that the original R4 does not work. However, there is a new version of the R4 called the R4i which the solves the problem...

 

R4i? thats new but would it read new games though? do u knw?

 

NDS flash cards wont work with NDSi because nintendo prevented it from working (obviously to prevent profit loss etc.) NDSi will only read flashcards which end in i (so if youre getting the dsi youll need R4i, DSTTi, AceKard 2i) pretty sure itll work with new games since its all about the firmware for that. but you probably know some games need cracking themselves such as square enix games. and how do we know? its been tried by many people that is why theres the new flash crads =D

 

There are some video in youtube that will teach you how to get your NDSi working with flashcard but as to what card to use, that you need to do some research.

 

thought the r4 team was dead, or did they 復出 for the dsi to create the DSI, but yer i heard the Akecard can, but its too expensive coz im a Cheap lo

 

wonder why u would like play nds games on a ndsi.
u already can play nds games on ur nds, ndslite
there is no ndsi games available yet
just keep ur money in ur pocket. wait a while till there is ndsi games. ( even nintendo didnt have a title out yet )
and by that time they are available, there will be new flash cards available to hack it

I would wait for cyclo dsi or w/e. I have it for ds lite and I've had a great experience with it.

 

DSi games? the only possibly games that could be made for this "new system" os games that would use its camera.. other than that i think the DS and DSi is the same (excluding size, slots)

i also heard the R4 team stopped but another company/team took over by using the R4 chipset. thats why the new r4s are named R4 "something" like evolution or whatever lolz

and im using acekard 2 so +1 for that but friends sister uses cyclo and heard positive stuff about that one too

 

wahh i must wait for cyclo then but then im not even sure if my dad will get me DSi or DS Lite from HK when he's back in April xD

 

NDSi isn't even out where i come from yet. but wouldn't R4 upgrade it so it is compatible with NDSi?

Try holding it above a lighter, if it melts its fake.

 

It really depends where you're purchasing them. Asian malls aren't exactly the best places to do so, but if you get it from reputable online sites you should be fine.

imo... not really... since all it has is a camera.... which is for certain games only...otherwise.. i dun see any diff...plus you need to get the new card.. unless u are a "legal" consumer...
