Victoria Falls, a 360 foot drop feature of the Zambezi River (discovered in 1855 by Scottish explorer David Livingston) on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, is arguably one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. However unknownst to many, is a curious feature next to one side of the falls, called Devil's Pool. In a cup like feature that was naturally carved by water over the ages, an isolated and shallow rock pool protected from the raging currents sits right at the edge of the falls. A raised rock lip completes the pool by forming a rim bordering just this side of oblivion. The pool is only accessible during the dry season, when water levels (and currents) are low. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVN9KnWy-H8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1inueBSwko&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu5nlu4IBN8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26O5miWH0Cg&feature=related The falls and swimming pool feature right at the top of it is so unbelievable that many people have assumed this to be a Hoax. It is real, and a legitimate tourist attraction, ...but most definitely NOT for the faint of heart.
i would assume so far none. The moment someone dies here is the moment it will get closed down. This kind if thing is always reactive rather than proactive.
so crazy!! good attraction until someone dies. but i tihnk i'd be too scared to do it.. u jump and miss.. ur gone.. or if current suddenly gets stronger ... ur dead as well.. lol
Oh man that looks sooo amazing! I would looove to try it. Indeed would take a lot of guts, but heck, we only live once.
freaking nuts man. how much of a drop? 360ft? that's like leaping out of a highrise on to the streets. i'd rather eat durian than do this.
