If that time does come, there isn't anything we could do anyway. Just enjoy what you have now and embrace for the future

    faulty logic

doesnot include recycled materials, I worked in a steel plant for a summer 80% of the new steels are made from recycled iron, here in CANADA.
I was told by the people in the plant, same thing happens in other metals as well.
also, in the not so near future moon and space mining.....hmmmmm.

    anyways, remember????
in 1800's people predicted that population grow will outpaceFOOD PRODUCTION by the 1900s; look around you, are we starving? we are in 21st century.

hmm... you're right actually. it is pretty sensationalist, I wasn't thinking about the actual numbers and just looking at the nice bars.

There is apparently enough uranium on the planet to sustain us for 200 years, so clearly someone isn't telling the truth on this thing.

Also, in terms of recycling, what you say makes sense, but as the earth's population increases, the amount of materials being used by each individual should also increase. Eventually there will be a point where we reach a maximum capacity, but yeah.... it's probably not going to be in 50 years.

Being hippie and caring for environment is the new cool and all of a sudden, driving a McLaren SLR to the Grammy's will get you flamed. You NEED to drive a Prius.

fcuk that. I'd be arriving in a F40 LM. 3L V8 twin turbo, no intention whatsoever to emission or fuel economy.

  8. this is probably another poster board used to recruit new tree huggers...

for the record... this also fails to factor in supply and demand... man kind will never run out of resources... we'll just use new resources or find a way to develop our resources much more efficiently... about to run out of oil? no problem, use shale... no wood? no problem... develop trees that grow 9000x faster than normal and farm them... it's the same thing with food, people still actually believe we have a shortage on food... that's bullshit... we've made so much advances in farming in agriculture, we have disease resistant crops ffs, who thought we'd have that 150yrs ago? o_O

Well according to Al Gore , we'll be killed by global warming before that happens anyway :D , nobody how serious it is , governments still won't do anything dramatic anyway....

true..people will always use new resources but as for global warming,it can't be prevented if we continue to live like this

Hopefully that "giant blanker" over Greenland can resolve the ice cap melting problem.
