This is the perfect example of a stalker in the making. His use of an object (the tampon) to vicariously engage in sex (via his semen) with a close family member, his cousin, without her knowledge is probably a textbook definition of a budding sexual deviant. Though unstated, I suspect that in all probability, he's been stealing her (and other female family member's) underwear and using them as a masturbation aid for some time. His reliance on clandestine methodologies that allows him to sexually contact persons or objects of his desire without their knowledge or consent reveals a brazen personality, yet one tremendously burdened with feelings of inferiority. His greatest fear (rejection upon disclosure of his act; ie she finds out and hates him) is paradoxically also his greatest fantasy (acceptance upon disclosure of his act; ie she finds out and loves him). Criminally, his cousin has been the victim of a sexual assault. The 'gentleman' in question is a sexual predator. Regardless of his protestations of ignorance vis a vis the use of Birth Control Pills (which he likely used to allow himself a sense of moral redemption, however hollow), that is not the primary facet of this case; this was not a bad prank gone wrong, this was a felony. Further, by his admission, he is also guilty of criminal product tampering. In some localities, if he has AIDS he would also be guilty of attempted murder. Further, his argument on the moral repugnance of having to rear a "mutant" baby (or one that he suspects would be genetically inferior or defective) as a rationale to commit murder is a classic sign that he sees others not as people but as disposable things only to facilitate his personal needs. I sincerely hope that where ever or whenever this posting was, that the forum participants and moderation staff had the presence of mind to notify the authorities. Murder in this case, is a real possibility given his mental framework. This person is a danger to others and by his own admissions, is already eligible for involuntary admission into a psychiatric center. That said, I doubt that even if the victim were to become pregnant, that the method described would be the cause. Sperm does not live long outside the human host (that why those 'pregnant by toilet seat' stories never held up). I suspect that the cousin, if pregnant, became that way by more conventional reasons, ie she was having sex with someone. However, that doesn't make her any less a victim of sexual assault in this case.

If this case is genuine, I doubt that the assailant would have slathered the entire tampon with semen, but had probably put just enough to escape detection by cursory examination. Further, there was no discussion if these were the applicator or non applicator version of the tampon product. If it was the applicator version, then a much larger pocket of illicit material may have been sequestered within the product and hidden beneath the applicator, and inadvertently inserted by the victim. Regardless, sperm dies rapidly unless it stays near an optimum temperature and moisture range. Thus, even if an entire content of one ejaculate were to be surreptitiously inserted, unless the insertion was almost immediate, it is doubtful that the sperm would have remained viable long enough to have been able to conceive. Again, whether conception took place with this attempt or not is inconsequential. If this was true and not a hoax, then a crime had been committed.
