i had to do this online exam for one of my architecture units and because my internet was down at home (which im super happy that it got fixed today... finally after 2 weeks) i had to go to uni comp labs to do it. in the comp labs u had to input ur username and pw in order to go on internet... 2 mins b4 the end of the exam i clicked submit and was returned with the page *session expired*! after logging back in i had less than 2 minutes to redo the whole test again! i was like WTF!!! that shouldnt of happened because it was an exam!! im sooo pissed! i was sure that i had more than 85% of them right and having to rush and redo it in 2mins im worried about my answers now ><... arghhhHHhhhhhh
That's really fucked up man. However, I was shocked that you can still open up the test and do it again; even in the last 2 mins. Typically, you have to complete the exam in one setting and if something happened, you can not redo it unless you contact the professor and get him/her to reopen the exam for you. Online professors are usually lenient towards that because they know disconnection happens; just make sure it doesn't occur too often. Anyhow, good luck. If you end up with a bad score (which I hope you don't); perhaps consider talking it over with your professor if you can do a make-up one.
that... really really sux man. tells me even more to never trust those computers on campus, especially when taking a test or a quiz. is there no campus wifi? you could've used a laptop (given you own one), but i guess it's too late for that now.
Nope, you have to email professors about it and they'll consider about it, but in his circumstances of leaving in the last minute they'll likely to say bad luck
you're kidding right? faxed documents are used in almost every single business in the world. I don't know if the fax machine will ever die, its the most efficient way of transferring a paper document from A to B. I don't know what the law is on emailed signatures, but i know a faxed document is as legally binding as the original. BTW to the OP... I'd take it up with the professor. Did the same thing happen to anyone else?
Hahaha I think they do, I just never seems to notice them at my uni or hear them mentioning faxes anymore, its usually contact us via phone or email no matter how important it is....
