Friday May 8, 2009 Hong Kong CHINESE pop diva Faye Wong is planning to make a comeback after spending half her retirement fund on her second daughter's operation for a cleft lip in the United States, China Press reported. According to a Hong Kong magazine, Wong decided to get back on stage as she could earn more money than her second husband Li Yapeng, an actor. Besides, Wong also wanted Li to look after her two daughters at home instead of spending time at pubs. Wong's older daughter, who is 12, is from her first marriage while the second one was with Li. credits: asiaone, asianfanatics.
LOL, that's why you don't retire when you're young haha~ It's nice to see her back though, she's got a unique voice.
how can she waste that much on a clelf lip? She's rich but you can never have too much money, plus she have to pay for his two dead beat husbands.
Whoa! half her fortune. Well I think her comeback will be well demanded for so she can make it all back
is she getting a little too old. But I suppose she does need the money and with the credit crunch maybe she lost alot in investments too...
Faye is a good singer it is nice to hear that she wants to make a comeback but would she be as popular as before, maybe???
Im a big fan of her. I even have collections of her songs...well, in mp3 format... Anyways, wish her luck and the best as we will all be looking forward to her new album
I'm glad she's making a comeback! I know some of the newcomers are actually talented nowadays but I'm sure Faye Wong still has staying power. I love her innovative music!
Good God. Half her retirement fund?!?! How much is that surgery? I know doctors without borders do that stuff for free in 3rd world countries quite frequently. She either got overcharged or plastic surgeons are way overpriced. She was so popular, I would have thought she'd be loaded with dough. I doubt she will have any trouble coming back, I'm betting she will be just as popular as before.
