lol, if its not a super heavy gaming machine then anything mid level can run it fine, this is actually overkill imo, and if its 32 bit then 4 gigs is a waste of money and if its 64 bit then maybe you can throw in some more? though i admit i have 4 gigs on my 32 bit system. yeah your PSU is crap, prolly put our 450w in reality
i have been definitely iffy on the PSU.. cause i can get my friend to buy one from best buy on employee discount.... =\ also i changed the memory from DDR3 to DDR2.... cause the board doesn't support it but for $660... it seems alright... if anything the graphics card can be upgraded later on when i find it necessary...
no to the mobo(get the gigabyte one), HDD(good hdd, just not so sure on the price point), PSU looks suspect + 600w is OVERKILL, and i dunno if u need necessarily an aftermarket cooler if its non gaming...
That's besides the point. It's the brand and build quality that's in question. Put a cheap PSU in and you run the risk of shorting out your entire system.
A Corsair or Seasonic power supply of 500 or 550W would be a better choice. They're quiet and solid on the power delivery, so all in all very reliable. You might want to look at the HD4770, there's relatively little performance gap between it and the 4850 for resolutions under 1080p, while drawing less power producing less heat at load. Plus it's cheaper if not for the 4850 rebates right now. But it's such a hot product right now it's sold out from most online vendors at the moment.

+1 yeah its prob sold out everywhere cause for the money spent those 2 cards running in CF rapes so many cards. get great performance for the price you pay.
i would recommend the corsairs too they are really good psu's in my opinion im using the hx 1000w now and runs solid. btw if you live in canada try ordering from ncix they pricematch any other vendor provided they have a webpage, they offer free shipping if you buy a 10 dollar gift card, and if you live in ontario you dont have to pay pst.
