Is it me, or does there seem to be a lot more nuts in HK nowadays?

So much violence in the world. But Hong Kong had alway been such a peaceful place (well except for the occasional homicidal taxi driver). But seriously, there seems to be a steady uptick in crime there. Is it just more reporting, or are people just not as civil as they use to be? :xd:

And remember that old man with the hammer? The one that was bopping other men on the head, that he thought were moving in on his 'action' (some 50 year old widow)?

Saw this on the news awhile ago, lucky no one was killed but the dmg is wide and affective, this person is causing a lot of fear among many civilians who are now scared of walking on the streets.

Second time in Mong Kok; they didn't catch the culprit from the first time either. This should be charged as a terrorist act.

In a city with so many high rise building, it's possible that it's an accident but dealing with such a dangerous substances, I don't think anyone is stupid enough to be that careless. Until this person is caught, there is a great chance it'll continue to happen, it's causing massive panic. This would be considered a terrorist act.

IIRC, I think the cops had already ruled out accidental causes and they've been looking for criminal suspects. This is really a sick thing to do. This isn't being done as some political agenda (a true terrorist's claim), but out of pure schadenfreude; that is, a personal pleasure or joy in seeing the suffering of others. This would be the kid who caught flies just to pull their wings off to see them squirm, or one who throws rocks at zoo animals through the bars of the cage. The fact that this has escalated to anonymously disfiguring and potentially blinding people is a serious indication that this sicko has moved beyond simple suffering for his joy. It's clear (to me at least), that he (or she) is willing to risk the lives of others in the fulfillment of his perverse pleasure.

They seriously need to catch this guy and lock him up for a very long time.
