anyone know much about Nexen 3000's?

for the rims im ordering this month its either gonna be

    235 and 275 nexen's or 235 and 265 general UHP.

the generals cost 200 bucks more for 4 and i dunno if its worth it.

I don't really care about performance whatsoever, my car is as slow as a minivan anyway, im more concerned about ride harshness and getting a soft tire

The Nexen are LOUD when they wear down. I like the General UHP. It would be a good fit for you since the sidewall are soft so they give a good ride. I know its suppose to be a high performance tire but yeah their sidewall is a little too soft.

had some Yokohama Avid H4 all seasons, switched over to Falken Azenis RT615 summer tires for better grip. wheels were locking up since upgrading brakes.

Hmmm... i've read a ton of reviews on the N3000.... probably 80% are positive and 20% are negative

I had the Nexen on my Mazda 3. After about 10k miles they were so noisy I just couldn't stand it any more (though it still have plenty of thread left). Then I went with the Kumho AST. After that set I went with the General UHP. The Generals are definately better than the aforemention tires. The are low noise and offer good grip wet or dry.

I'm all for the Kumho's...nothing wrong with some cheap tires that perform!
