TWO Chinese gangs fought a bloody battle in a restaurant - after first sitting down for drinks together. Forty mobsters inflicted terrible injuries on each other with meat cleavers, machetes, hammers and a Samurai sword. The savage scene was reminiscent of hit film Kill Bill, in which sword-wielding Uma Thurman took on a gang of assassins in a restaurant. Both mobs hid weapons beneath their clothing as they arrived in the early hours at the Chilli Chilli eaterie in Liverpool's Chinatown. They were expecting violence to erupt but sat together for pre-fight drinks in an upstairs function room. The ringleader of one mob gave a hand signal for battle to commence. And staff watched in astonishment as the bloodbath kicked off. The gangsters sliced and slashed each other, leaving one man with four stab wounds in his back and another with serious hand wounds inflicted by the sword. The "referee" stopped the brawl after a few minutes and the mobsters - some bleeding heavily - scurried out of the restaurant. Two female diners entered soon afterwards, missing the melée by minutes, but no members of the public witnessed it. Merseyside Police sought to temporarily close the eaterie. But councillors instead imposed restrictions on its licence before a hearing next month. Cops are trying to trace those involved. PC Stuart Moore said: "This was an organised gathering with the intention of settling some sort of dispute - and the stakes were high. Had that happen to me in HK while having diner at a street-side diner (daai paai dong). I was pretty amazed, my grandfather and uncles on the other hand insisted on finishing the desert first before they leave. I still can't believe what happened, a few tables flipping and people hackin each other.
Don't worry, they only hit people thats involved in it, the only thing they'll do to you is to get out of the way.
i don't know the why because there are various versions,however i think it's because of some drugs thing... the scene is indescribable
i wonder why they brought "kill bill" in? cuz i certainly believe they didnt copied it from kill bill. i have seen many chinese movies, where the gangs hide their weapons and meet in a closed restaurant. talk for a few minutes and then start pulling out their knifs.
lol 黑社會 fight with refereeing?? first timer i heard about this!!! i was thinking of joining one of them, well a sophisticated one of course but be like a legal correspondant or something.. might make some dollar and body guard out of it
feel sorry for the people who work in the restaurants, having to suffer through all that. but how can it not be obvious if people have meat cleavers, machetes, and a samurai swords "under their clothing". the guy carrying the samurai sword must have been super tall.
