Windows vista service pack 2 has released, what do you guys think?Any review? Is it worth downloading? Thanks
^ its not beta, its RC, when it launches ill buy it, i got no problem with that, if i didnt want to buy it then i would simply go back to XP, or Vista if they fix it up, more than likely ill buy Win7 or just use XP. Suprisingly, Win7 will come with XP SP3 so you can switch to that if you wish to.
I might just buy Win7 then. But then again, I already have a disc with all the other versions of windows with SP2. Would be nice to use a legit copy of an OS for once though.
^ lol believe me, its nice when its legit, i remember when i first ran a legit OS, no more cracks and skipping updates, some of my frineds still dont belive im running a legit OS lol, try it out!!!!
lol the only legit os i have is mac os X... i have a pirated version of vista that uses a generic Dell key so i dont need to worry about microsoft validation
Screw Vista; they can release SP2, 3, 4 ... 1000s of fixes and that damn OS will still be a piece of crap.
I just installed Windows Vista SP2, and after installation, I realized that my hard drive regained about 31GB of space. I went online and read a couple other instances of this happening. Why is this? Because SP2 deleted a bunch of SP1 files with the new Clean-up tool. Microsoft hit a home run with this service pack. “SP2 also includes a Service Pack Clean-up tool (Compcln.exe), which helps restore the hard disk space by permanently deleting the previous versions of the files (RTM and SP1) that are being serviced by SP2. The Pack Clean up tool can also be run offline while creating slipstream images to reduce the size of the image,” Microsoft informed. For people who is wondering what does it add (i'll list what matters to me) Your wireless Signal wont be super slow after you wake up your laptop from "sleep mode" "i noticed it and always had to restart" native Blu ray data Disc burn built in windows New wireless option in control panel that let you connect to wireless networks faster and easier "Windows connect now" New Bluettoth standard support Windows Search Engine 4 (Much faster search for files within windows) Your sidebar gadgets Wont eat ram/cpu like crazy (Now its fixed) Boost your battery life by about 10% with better power management system ExFAT format support for HDS Better Error handling
That sounds good actually, my PC is powerful enough to cope with vista but i do remember the tool bar using 500mb+ ram which is pathetic really, that shouldn't be happening. Then dont install SP2
