Windows Vista SP2: Readers Report Big Increases in Free Disk Space

really, where is this magic space coming from? no where. most likely replace a crap load of useless system files that were unnecessarily huge..

 

who cares, just get win7 till next year.

download Windows RC 1 jay burn the ISO to a disc....

 

the system should have a system restore, try to restore the system. this is why i don't upgrade my windows unless i have backed everything up and it's at a time where i don't need my computer for work.

 

now i only see a blue screen-cry2

 

service pack 2 is that bad?

 

Lols guys im chilling with win7, ill give M$ a year to fix vista while i relax with W7

so if u want to roll back to sp1 will you be able to after so much files have been removed?

 

Windows has the habit of creating restore points before installing updates/service packs. I'm sure this is no different.

I'm not suggesting that the Service Pack 2 deletes the restore points but the results are awful similar.

 

I might just install it for my laptop now. That clock thing has been using up so much ram, makes the comp SO slow... I could do with more HD space too.

 

i gained 30+ GB ... tell me how much you gain.? ^_^

 

I didn't look at my harddrive space so I can't really comment.
