In a bit of a situation now, this guy has admitted to liking me and i like him back, but we're already really close friends and we are from the same friendship circle. So our friends are starting to get suspicious and they don't seem to be that fond of us being together. But im just worried that if we do end up together, and it doesn't work out, it will ruin our relationship forever and our friendship group.
    Should friends date friends?

  3. fuck that shit

i got buddies who do it, and it pisses me off, cuz when they break up, it's gonna split the circle

happened twice. happening a third time

    shit aint cool

    .... anything is possible.

    a) you might date for 5 years and get married
    b) you might date for 5 months and break up

to be honest, the chances of a) happening are probably infinitesimal, buuuuut it might still be worth the short time if its fun ^_^

Do it. If you like him, you're just going to be sad when you see him happy with another girl. Who knows what would happen ;D

There's no definitive answer to your question. It's a personal decision. Dating within your pool of friends tends to get messy and usually doesn't end well, but the risk is yours to take.

I prefer dating friends of friends or girls that are complete strangers, rather than friends. Less complications and more excitement. :D

It could turn out well too. There was an article on MSN how several women did not realize 'the one' had always been their best friend until they re-evaluated why they couldn't find the perfect guy for them

I don't know why your friends would object. If you really like him, then go for it.

I have a circle of friends (10) that I hang out with all the time. Two couples met, dated, and are married. One couple met, dated, and split. At first, there was a bit of awkwardness especially when they started to date other people. But my friends and I never picked sides and they never asked us to. We just listened and they stayed friends.

^i don't think they would exactly object
but from the guys past relationship, it affected our friendship group a bit, people felt that he totally ignored us. but that time he was dating a girl outside our friendship group, don't want this to happen again.

go for it...you both like each other and it might turn up good as it may turn out bad.If you're ready to take this risk of losing your friendship(if you ever broke up),go for it!!

screw what other people say! if you two like each other then go for it
if you two ever break up and the worst happens, then that's just the way it was meant to be

if you are not serius and prepared for the long run then i suggest you forget it.

    lols, the taboo signs:

    good friends (more then average)
    same circle

    -nono

reality pointers, if you fck up, then it will never be the same within your circle of friends and the relation with him. All the assumptions are made upon majority, but in some cases then....not so sure.

    are you the some case?

    lols.

    LMAO

    anyway..
You should really just do what you want to do the most. If they were true friends they would not object you two and would hope for the best. Of course, there are times of awkwardness. My roommate and one of our friends from out group went out and we didn't really hang out with them at all throughout their relationship because they wanted to be away from us so they could have alone time. My friends were pissed off but I really didn't mind it. In the end, they broke up and my roommate came back to our group of friends but the friend just comes and goes. I guess they just didn't want to be awkward around each other. It sucks but it happens. However, there's always a chance that both of you can work things out so that you guys can still be friends and can all still hang out like old times. I'm still friends with my ex boyfriends and I was able to hang out with them and my friends like nothing ever happened lol. I guess it really depends on if you can get over/accept the reality of the break up fast enough.

I think if you really like him then you should go for it. Live your life with no regrets.
