    What attributes would you look at or think are important when buying a car?

    Eg. Price, appearance, fuel efficient, etc.

    ^all brands focus on specific attributes to differentiate themselves (volvo = safety, bmw = class, honda = fuel efficient, economy car, etc) so what kind of attributes help you decide what brand you would buy from?

    It's all about the $$$, if you have more money, you have more options. Must have a budget that's good for you. You want to own the car and not have to worry about the bills all the time.

    New car or Used? The price can be really different, but there are a lot of great used cars out there. My friend got an used 2007 infinite for around 10k but it looks like new with GPS and leather seats. Shop around, do you research and if you know people, it's even better.

    One of the most important thing is get a type of car that reflects on your daily life and activities.

    I mean, if you have many kids, you'll need a bigger car, like a mini van or SUV; you'll not get a coup if you can only choose one. Also, depending on you job/work and distances you travel daily, certain type of cars are better suited for it.

    Remembered those Hummers, gas guzzlers to the max. Last year when gases were crazily high, even the rich had to sell it for a more fuel efficient car.

    look at the insurance too; a honda civic has a very similar price range on the insurance compared to a honda accord for example;

    recently got a honda accord 2009 EX, upgrade from the honda accord 1998; with the 11 years in time, many upgrades in the new one

    - 190 hp, up from 150 (i think)
    - remote trunk release
    - non-slamable trunk door
    - steering wheel mount volume/tuner control
    - power windows with auto-up/down driver’s window
    - Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA)
    - moonroof w/ power tilt,
    - cd player w/ 6-discs changer,
    - electronic seat adjustments w/o starting the car,
    - 10-liter larger fuel tank but more efficient than the old
    - electronic safety for changing parts, like if the battery went dead, i go replace it, in order for the car to start, a code must be entered in, if the code is wrong, u can't start the engine;

    when buying a car i look for appearance then price. i mean if its cheap but u don't like how it looks y bother getting it at all. then i look for power n then the aftermarket parts availability.

    cuz is faster than taking the transit and it saves time from driving; if the user is mainly looking for that as the alternative, i don't think the looks make much difference -shock

    i would look for cost, fuel efficiency, power, and resale value mostly o_O

    Aoes Well-Known Member

    btw... you can't predict resale value... it's primarily bs... civics may have an above average resale value now... but you never know, 5yrs down the line there may be a huge recall and ur fcked in the butt...

    that's because the cars im looking at are 2 seater so i can't fit 3 leng lui's hahahahaah

    and those who tlk about resale value is basically talkin about a japanese car
