I ordered sth last month!!! the seller handed the parcel to the U.S. postal service on 26th June. however i still havent receive my parcel :( since i paid 30 USD for the shipping (express mail International), i can track parcel online but the thing is... there arent any updates !!! >_< it says that the express mail international average delivery time is between 3-5 days.... everyone i check on that website every day but i only get this: "Class: Express Mail International® Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received the U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on June 26, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. blablab....." man i want my parcel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! arrrgggg
Yeah, the USPS tracking system is the worst. However, since it's international, it's probably stuck at customs. Happened to me a few times when I had stuff shipped from Germany.
delivery day 3 - 5 days..hum so it should be there soon this week, or next... (*i just saw a USP car drove by maybe it's heading to your house )
USPS has the crappiest service. Your shipment was probably rescheduled because of some sort of human error causing delay, a sick driver, a sudden rush-on of deliveries, etc. It happens to me all the time. Another possibility is that it might have been lost. I've had instances where my item was left at my front door and someone took the package. You should call up USPS to make sure it hadn't already been delivered. Their online updates aren't reliable. But if they miss the date (and you call them out on it), they will reimburse the shipper, not you. So, even if you call, complain and win, the person who shipped the item will get the check, not you. Also, if it happens that your package was lost, they won't do anything unless your shipment was insured. One of the hazards of being a buyer. Best of luck.
Delay's are common, can't expect things to go smoothly all the time with any shipping/delivery service, One time I waited for the UPS guy to come after like 10 days, since I live in an apt that has no door bells at the front door, I wrote a piece of paper at the front door saying to call me so I can come down to pick it up twice. So after the 2nd time I called them up and found out they don't carry phones, I think that's just lame. I almost had to stalk an UPS truck to get my packet, lucky I saw a UPS truck when I went out to buy something or else I'll have to go mad far to get it. When I used FedEx, the packet arrived in 2-3 days and that delivery man called me up to see if I'm home to come down and get the packet, and the price was about the same. With USPS, expect to take some time and patient. At least most people are close to a post office to pick things up. Unlike UPS...I hate them.
well i don't think they set things up for your convenience. most of the time if i get an important package, i stay at home just so i know i won't miss the delivery. if the people are mean, they just leave a sticker on your front gate telling you to go pick it up. my friend works for ups and he says some delivery people don't leave packages at the gate because they're scared they'll be blamed for losses
Of all the delivery services, FedEx is the most reliable but I hate the people and it's expensive depending where you're mailing to/from. UPS is mediocre but the people are more friendly and cheaper than FedEx. USPS of course is the cheapest and the worst of them all. We all know that governmental workers are a bunch of lazy asses who sit and eat donuts all day long ...lol BTW, I only used DHL once and it was good but expensive .. can't comment though.
But I was at home those times waiting for those packages, and when one company does more to make sure you get your stuff on time than it makes a huge differences. You're paying, so they better make it as convenience as possible or they will be taking out by their competitors.
When they put Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received its mean that the shipper (the person who is going to ship it) has print a label or has already buy the postage for that package. But this doesn't mean that the package is actually shipped. The seller or shipper still have the package and haven't ship it yet. Normally is like that, but i think that because it is going international it will take longer....
^ Yea, it doesn't mean that it is actually shipped, so you should also check back with the seller. However, there are times when the website does not update at all until the package is delivered.
