  2. Sony must be getting desperate now cus they could/should have done this ages ago, well when this happens getting a PS3 will make more sense for me.

hmm doesnt look liek this will be free .... but erm yeah it does show the desperation ... and the only reason they took that thing off before was so they could promote the ps2 even more .. like they did on E3

about time rele, cos when people get the ps3 they would naturally want to be able to play their ps2 games cos there are many rele good games out there and the graphics of the ps2 was rele good unlike with the ps1 where there was a big difference and there aren't that many games for the ps3 at the mo that are rele good. so would be good to get the compatibility for the ps2 games until more rele gd ps3 games come out and people usually will buy it even if they don't play it cos of the security that u are able to play previous games on it.

This would definitely be a handy feat. There's no mentioning of prices tho, so looks like it could be free

i doubt it... there's a reason why there's no such thing as a playable PS2 Emulator on the net... it's because it's pretty damn hard if not impossible to do so...

if they found a way to lower the processing demands to replicate the emotion engine; then it'd be a pretty amazing feat considering the PS2's been on the market for near a decade and no one's been able to do it yet... at least, none that i know of...

more like they should have made it an optional add on by request then removing it for good without any chance for requesting for it...
