I am from china,and never go aroad. you know in china ,visa is not easy to get,and the most important thing is money. if you want study or live out of china,it is really difficult thing for normal chinese family. so i really want know which country is the better place to live ?:wiggle:
That's a rather difficult question as there are so many variables; some things may seem important to one person, but not to another. However, the one thing that I remember being helpful to my parents was being close to other Chinese people. That is, we lived in New York's Chinatown back when it was just a tiny few blocks (before the change in US immigration laws allowed thousands more to go to the US). Having your own kind of people, to talk to, trade news, support one another, can be a tremendous social resource when you're cast into a population of strangers, and it was especially so for us, back in the 1950's. Now however, with the Internet, pocket translators, and a huge Chinese diaspora the world over, you should have plenty of choices to consider. However, I still would stick with living near large Chinese population centers simply for easy access to Chinese food stuff that you can't easily get otherwise. :biggthumpup: Good luck!
hello hello, so you're from the North, I'm from the South, wooooohooooooo Totally understand the situation you mentioned. People who i chat with online always complain about that, omg it's so hard, so much money, you're so lucky *BLAH BLAH BLAH* It's not easy to survive in any places. What ralph said, it's better to stick with the communities where it has a great amount of Chinese population. When I was a FOB several years ago, I lived in New York City, not the Chinatown in Manhattan, but the little Chinatown in Brooklyn. Although it's not the same anymore, but speaking the same language & doing the same activities comfort you at some point. Finding a job is quite hard if your English is EHHHHHHH. You are most likely to work in restaurants & stores. I'm sure it doesn't just happen in the US, probably in other countries, too. Paying food is ok as long as you stay within the community. Once you step out & go to places like Manhattan, jeez you'll die (in WholeFood, one piece of 4x4 brownie is more than $3 plus tax, WTF!). Housing is another problem, the apartment my parents rent since 04 is $1200, if you buy your house, OMG it's $$. Then stupid transportation, in the city you can use public transportations (but MTA raised the fucking price again to $2.25, back in 02 it was only $1.50 >:O ). If you want your car, you need to invest your money in going for your license, then buying a car & taking care of it it's a big amount of money. Then education, if you consider to continue your studies. Tuition + health service fee + activity fee + book fee + dorm fee (if on campus) + technology fee = all those crap are over $10000. Getting a visa? Getting a Social Security Card? If you're applying for any government shit, GOTTA WAIT GOTTA WAIT, they're so fat & lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! & then tax tax tax tax tax tax tax Something possitive.........USA didn't ban YouTube & Facebook, we have freedom of speech w00t (child pornography is a def. BAN). & i prefer the weather here, i can't stand the fact i'll sweat within 10 seconds once i step out in China during summer time. I've had enough of the constant 40C, it's humid in the South so it's even worse . OH NO MORE MOSQUITOS & MICE & FLIES!!!! So those are my experiences of America these several years.
I remember going back for the first time in many many years, I went back on Oct or Nov and when I got off the plane, I already felt the heat coming on, I hate humid weathers so I didn't like it at all. It was considered good cause if it was in the summer months, it's crazy humid and hot. There were so still a lot of mosquitoes and flies and some big ass rats. The air was very bad too. But I met some nice people and it was easy to chat with them, very laid back. There are some great places to visit but lack of internet/high tech stuff. No matter where you live, there are ups and downs, you just have to find a place that have the qualities of life that fits you.
for a person with no foreign language skills, he/she fairs far better inside China than it outside. thats my personal experiences and observations. many new immigrants today donot face as many hardships as the older generations of Chinese immigrants, but they will still face discrimination based on national origin in many areas of employment as well as in business dealings. heck, your name alone will prevent you from getting a good job.
In Australia there is barely any discrimination... there tons of asians where i live. and they can prob find a good job if they are smart enough
errr, what can I say...hmmmm HOW naive! racism in Australia is often subtle; it is worst form of racial discrimination there is! Australia is most racist country in the British commenwealth.
u knw what, climate & environment wise, CHINA IS THE HARDEST TO SURVIVE!!!!!! ahhhhhhh u knw what i killed 8 flies in 2 hr today, two hour!! wtf!!! & today is shitty hot, i don't understand i don't fucking understand why are they so many fucking flies in my house in one day!! i think they're making babies & replicating themselves while i was attack them, cuz i saw yellow stuff coming out from the bottom, but i DONT CARE!! how can i survive in china again? *sigh*

Did China ban Facebook & YouTube because of 网页竞争? Like they have tudou & youku, etc to replace YouTube, then 开心网&校内 instead of facebook (校内 is so lame because it's a copy cat of facebook, like EVERYTHING is basically copied)?? that's the only thing i can think of right now. Or hackers........censorship is the only thing that pop out in my mind. I was born & raised in the city of Guangzhou -^_^
survival is the same everywhere wherever you go to.. it seems like most people tends to migrate to US coz of the amount of Chinese that are also there so communication is better although lifestyle may not be easier due to racism, economic crisis or even studying I lived in England all my life and my parents were jsut lucky to have family to rely on to get onto their feet to gain the money that they have now, however England is not the best place in the world if you really want to be near other Chinese people unless you go to university or the big main cities like London, Manchester or Birmingham etc... It is all down to you on how much you work on to survive at that country, I understand why you would want to leave China coz i personally really don't like China although I tend to Hong Kong a lot to visit families and yes there are huge differences between mannerisms and culture that you will have to start thinking about of accepting if you were to move to another country

肯定。。。they really like to censor stuff, 那也是其中一个原因为什么我不怎么喜欢中国政府，政府以保卫声誉&名利而言，把个人想法、言论与负面新闻封锁。想成为国际化，把这坏习惯先改了吧。 my friend in shanghai seems to be able to access facebook now, maybe you can try it.
Canada. Air is clean, weather is awesome, multi-cultural, free healthcare. Most of all canadians are friendly and its really hard to starve to death because there are lots of soup kitchens in canada. For a living of course its hard to find a job. Fast food restaurants require up to three months to employ but there are lots of low jobs like dishwashing, cleaning and etc. But working casual is rather hard. Chinese ppl emigrate to canada frequiently because its safe and provides free education.
I-I to canada, be a refugee and apply as a canadian :box: not exactly free health care, everyone pays $54 per month but low-income ppl get the an assistance; calling the ambulance is $50 each time...
