    Welcome to last year.

Seriously though, the newest Safari and Firefox are both blisteringly quick but have serious memory leak issues.

Yeah, they never seem to really fix that.

  5. Is that when its taking up a lot of cpu or ram or something, i dont notice much problems unless i got 14 tabs each with videos streaming.

They suck up stupidly huge amounts of RAM.

Chrome can be a bit hit due to new browser and is from google, plus it will be on their OS and smartphone; but it won't be mainstream -roflyawn

I don't think standards like firefox is going away anytime soon.

Well, ram is dirt cheap now and they are really pushing 64 bit with 4 gb or ram or more nowadays.

well ff is much better, when it was firefox 2 then it sucked a lot of ram, they have improved it a lot now and i think it's quite good. having said that i haven't tried chrome yet, is it low on ram resources? i know it's quick but i've never tried it cos ff has been good enough for me.

i've also used chrome for a while now and it is easily one of the easiest browsers to use. its design is simple and its faster than the previous browsers that i have used.

firefox for me all the way is when you get used to it is fast and reliable

  18. despite this thread being old, but

if firefox was a standard, IE would not exist, and i would not be saying "FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--" over browser incompatibilities with web apps.
