So... I just dried/dryed my hair 3 days ago LIGHT brown and now after 3 days it seems like my hair have been losing colour :S (is it possible) it looks like black/DARK brown after 3 days.. Is it because I have been out in the sun too much? or Using wrong shampoo when washing my hair? I use a shampoo for NORMAL hair dont know if my hair loses colour because of that..

I want to ask if you guys know what the problem is...

    Thanks in advance.

It might be stress or your diet? I wouldn't worry if it doesn't continue for months.

I think its quite usual it changes color (light color can change into a slight darker color) after washin it a few times... especially when u dyed it urself... if i did it at the salon n its a lot different from what it should b i'd advise u to go back to ur hairdresser....
also, i always use shampoo for dyed hair as well as hair masks to keep the "shiny effect"

After dying my hair, it started becoming lighter after every wash, until after a week in. I guess it depends on what kind of chemicals and brand used by your hair salon.

If your using a permanent color, it's like that.

Give it time, initially it'll lose the dye.

^akira... just go to the salon n tell em to fix it...! did the bleach it? maybe they didnt a good job n spread it evenly >_< either way go to the salon... ask for ur money... be persistant!

When u use shampoo for dyed hair it gives a bit of color protection ( at least thats wat it says) i just use shampoo n conditioner.... n i also use a mask by john frieda... it works for me...

I know the feeling of losing the colour after a dye. I have fair hair and dyed it ash brown but it seems to get lighter thou because I was using head and shoulder very strong shampoo. so i switched to shampoo especially for my hair colour and that seems to work as it has something in it to help provent colour lost.

But you should first get the colour corrected at the salon if they have done it wrong and use the correct shampoo for dye hair which will help keep your hair colour for longer.

I hope this helps. sorry it rather a long reply. :)

must be the dye. some dyes don't last long. washing your hair with shampoo that has strong chemicals doesn't help either

It's just like that. At least all over the counter dyes. Especially w/ asians, they have dark hair to begin with.

I haven't gone to salon but I believe theirs will be better. Of course it's more costly.

You can dye, but the 'real' color doesn't show until about 1 week or so. That's your TRUE RESULTS.

As said, use conditioner and shampoo geared towards dyed hair.

ive found that the shampoo and conditioner is quite important when u want to retain the colour. i used temp dye (should last for 3-4 weeks) for my hair and i used shampoo/conditioner for colour treated hair and it lasted for over a month. i redyed it and used normal shampoo/conditioner and it lasted just over a week. so do get the special shampoo/conditioner, normally its about the same price.
