if i was to pick i will say iphone cos u can always update your firmware to get new apps and this would make sure u wont get bored of the phone
i gt the 3g and sinse i changed to it from a SE walkman and a N95 i dnt see myself using anything but a iphone in the future, simple to use, texting is a doddle now with the landscape keyboard and its jus smoother to use that any of my past phones, the callwaiting on the phone is so good aswel can merge calls and switch easily, n97 seemed abit too complex when i played with it in the nokia store and about the phone being fragile ive droped it plenty of times and it jus gets little cratches also if ur iphone malfunctions u can jus bring it into apple and if they cant fix it there and then they will replace it straight away
i will choose N97 because iphone is too expensive and N97 have all iphone function and iphone have some conception technical probleme the litium batterie is not very sure and some iphone can explose

i got t agree that i will trade my iphone for a n97 because the comsuption of the enerfy sucks of iphone further than that is fun to have a i phone because is much more versitile phone compare it to other. app store is really a big plus for the iphone because your iphone can be upgraded everytime so it won't bore you...
I am using an iphone and I like it a lot. I think it is the best media phone around..ie internet, music, app store.. As for the battery comment I read above, get the 3GS, the battery is much better! I upgraded mine from 3G and saw a noticeable difference! I also read a comment on typing...I came from being a blackberry user to the iphone. Now I can type faster on the iphone than on the bb. The reason for that is, I don't have to punch in each letter anymore on the keyboard and it saves time. With the iphone's keyboard, you really have to keep typing away and trusts that the auto correction will fix it for you...it often does!
iphone and n97 essentially cost the same... im kinda in that situation soon just waiting for the current fone to truly die! lol tho i'd consider a crackberry, only because the fone is used more for work decisions... lol
I would say the iphone. The nokia n97 is more of a guy phone and girls looks so much better with the iphone
^^yea same here i love my iphone..i went from the 1st gen to the new 3gs bc i love how it works...i like how its everything in one and when changing to a new iphone u can have your old apps and all your old numbers by syncing it to your computer.
I looked at some reviews on newegg for the n97 and I've heard bad things about the CPU and ram management. The touch screen is apparently not the smoothest either.
As much as a hate the iphone, you should just it if those are your only two choices. The N97 was a good piece of machine but they just delayed it for far too long and is not worth the money.
well as there are leak news saying the 4th gen of the iphone will come out sometime next yr and the N97 is getting old as the mini came out and so many bugs and slow as i have both the n7 and the 3gs and i prefer the iphone......
You wouldn't if you really had one i just got the 3Gs a few months ago and i really like it. i think the looks of the iphone is better that the n97... i think its becuz the n97 have a keyboard, what makes it thick :S maybe you will have some problems at the beginnen with typing op a iphone, but believe me you'll get used too it and will find it is actually an advantage...
