Sony is just a brand, and that it's the only reason why they're expensive

There are much cheaper brands should as Acer, HP, Dell etc... They have the same spec as the Sony but probably $1000+ more cheaper...

    --------

Now in terms of Windows vs Mac, there are really no differences, they both can get your jobs done well...
If you gonna pick Sony, then you might as well pick a Mac

I personally would go for neither of those b/c their features does not reflect on their price but the brand

    Actually, you don't.

If you did bother to learn more about bootcamp, you would've learned that it's free and it comes with OSX which also leads me to believe that you might not know how bootcamp works.

Bootcamp is not a visualization tool meaning it does not run Windows on top of OSX. Bootcamp is a utility used to install Microsoft based Operating systems on Intel Based Macs. What you're doing with bootcamp is basically dual booting.

Sorry ma bad for miss typed i did not want to go into detailed about BootCamp
as i know it comes free with OSX and i know you need to boot up to switch from windows to OSX

and also there is other apps such as parallel and vmware fusion that can run widows at the same time blah blah

And you don't like either options because?

I'm saying this because I have a pathological hatred for Sony computers. Any other Windows based notebooks with the same specs will always cost less than a Sony counter part. You're really only paying for aesthetics not to mention the inability to service/upgrade them yourselves.

i never tryed having 2 OS in one computer so but i have seen many people doing it.

and can i do everything and install my old softwares with the mac instead of keep booting to windows you get what im coming from?:naughty:

I've had my 13" Unibody Macbook Pro for a few months and I've only used OSX once or twice.

I really don't see what all the hype is about.

So i guess you have already installed Windows OS onto your Mac? what you use the OSX for? and have you partition your mac HD e.g if you had 500GB HD you partition it to the windows like you drag all the memory to Windows? is that right

and also the Macbook pro just looks sleek la la la la

    -tongue2

  13. 1. don't get vaios. nobody should get vaios. vaios should be burned.
    2. if you get a mac, please don't go around saying macs are good without knowing why. you'll look like a retard. if you know why macs are good, go for it.
    3. else, if you don't want to deal with the hassle of getting software that are not released for macs to work on a mac, go for windows. you can downgrade to xp, or upgrade to 7.
    4. or if you are techy, get a fucking dell and boot centOS on it.
    5. don't get vaios. you're essentially getting raped in the ass for a piece of shit.

    so my verdict:

macbook pro: yes. (unless you're gonna go "oooo get a macbook because it's goooodd", "why?", "i dunno because it's goooood", then no)
vaio: no. i'd cover it with napalm and blow it up.

anyways, the only reason why i would want to buy a macbook pro, is because of the unibody case. that is it.

if i wanted to use mac osx, and if i didn't care for the case, i'd use a hackintosh. which i have. that's right you haters. a 300 dollar macbook. -bigsmile

What is wrong with Vaios they have nice Designs lol you hate Sonys is it cuz its over priced? there alot of people prefer Sonys you know... and plus my family and relatives are all sony owners and they work in the IT jobs and ect... so what you saying they are retards too.. haha i aint want no dissing just...

yes the macbook is very sleep of the Unibody and the designs and i wish Sony had that too.. lol

about sony i will not change my mind about the one that i have shown on top of the thread thinking about the xSeries too but does not come out in another month or so...

ok what the real point ok forget the sony and the Mac ok

take the OS from them to Notebooks ok

OSX and Vista 7 when it comes out in Oct..

i never used OSX before first time and Windows i have used all my life.

i want to know will i regret anything if i go from Windows to OSX?

and the diffrents and all that stuff you know thanks em to make this more easy just think of me that i have no skills on OSX and compare the good point and the bad point of them 2?

    thanks

mmm well, i've got my macbook, on which i have dualbooted windows 7, vista and now im currently dual booted to Windows XP SP3, which, to be honest is the quickest operating system out of all the windows, and, to me, seems faster than even OSX snow leopard.

I still love OSX for its functionality, especially with the multitouch trackpad.

I would just say get a macbook pro and dualboot with XP. then you have the best of both worlds.

The next step for me will probably be dualbooting with Ubuntu.

Judging by your vehicle, i'd say we both have a thing for nice toys.

If you have a regular laptop, no one will ever give a shit. You could spend 5000 dollars on a sony laptop and no one will give a rats ass. But the moment you whip out your macbook pro, everyone knows its a prime piece of tech. The ladies will immediately want to caress your genetalia and thrust their breasts into your face. This phenomenon has been well documented. I'm not even kidding.

I say.. go get the Sony X series :p lol
Windows 7 does run pretty good now, fast performance (well i'm using a SSD).
OS X I'll say it is just easy for you for people that think that Windows is too complicated.
