Amar'e Stoudemire is the best center. he fast n can shoot three n he have power. even though he small but he is good center.
Yao is a more complete player than D. Howard (Superman) but I will rank both of them as top centre in the NBA currently.
last time i saw him play he has no range...he can hit that mid range shot but not consistently ....yaos more of a 3 point shooter than amare is :laugh2:
offence: yao because the hook shot with his length is just lethal Defence: Dwight he just won the D of the year so no conversation possibleeeeeee
here my list of top center. admare bosh howard yao shaq dirk that the top 6 i believe. out the 6 only 2 yao n dirk dun have power. yao probably first go to the bench for a rest compare to anyone else. so he not that great compare to others. i admit his free throw is the best out every .
no the best center, but very effective atleast gets 20ppg and couple of rebounds... but he got blocked by nate robinson who's only 5'8".... so yea....
im pretty sure bosh natural position is power forward he's a bit scrawny and thin to get dirty with the big boys in the paint.
dirk is not a center..... a pf or sf maybe......center in dallas is still dampier while amare is one of the most athletic center in the league...he is blessed in the sense that phoenix play uptempo bball and nash is brilliant at dishing it to him. When phoenix played a half court offence in 2007/2008 to accomodate shaq in the team....amare's numbers dropped so much..... howard = very very strong and athletic....but most of his block comes from weak side defence, IE...leaving his man to help block the ball from the blind side. Rarely sees him blocking the ball on 1v1 play. Furthermore , no range in shots. SHaq= too old....does not command a double team no more. Yao - injured too much. never completed a season without missing games. think his best season total was 80 games out of 82 regular. Not dominant defensively (Easily dunked on.etc. strom&&& swift, kobe, lebron, rudy gay, brandon roy). While consistent offensively, not dominant and not game decisive. rarely scored more than 30 points, averages around 18-19 points mark.)Shaq in his lakers prime averages 30+ points per game. Bosh, consistent, carry his team. Struggles against stronger team. But plays predominantly as PF. Bargani is center in raptors. Think i will go for bosh or amare offensively (NOT YAO...still to convince me he had the desire to dominate games) Defence, A tie between howard or joakim noah of bulls. He rebounds and blocks lots of shot this year.
Well wording Tomatoman. As far as the season has gone, Howard is the most dominant center in the league. He control the paint and block every shot around the rim. I agreed that he blocks majority are from the weak side but who would want to shoot in front of him. As for fantasy bball, he would be a great first round pick if you don't get Chris Paul, Lebron, or Kobe. I regreted that i took KG instead of Howard. Hehe just traded KG and Baron Davis for Kobe. Crossing fingers and hope this would turn out a great trade.
nope, dwight howard is currently the most dominant player in NBA, he blocks shots like smacking a volleyball
if not for yao's health issues he would probably be the best center in the league. its between him or dwight. the rest of the centers like bogut, shaq, lopez, or kaman arent even close to them two.
