depends how you look at it,

in my opinion YES he is, because he was able to take apart the double team and even triple teams and still be able to score.

he made his team better and won two 3-peats with them. And if anyone ever saw his attempted dunk but change to a regular layup from right hand to left hand (which i think was godly, and without a decent hang time would be very difficult).

and now you have people comparing kobe to Jordan... never! and there won't be a next jordan, Jordan is Jordan. And i dont like how people are saying LeBron is the next Jordan. Lebron is Lebron and Jordan is Jordan. Maybe next "greatest basketball player" but never a next jordan

i'm not sure if he's the best or not, but second best at least. i'd say kobe's right up there too, but jordan has the edge.

  4. ur so L.A. i meant is he better than other hall of famers in the past :rolleyes2:

example: bill russell has 10 rings, MJ has 6....that kind of debate.

^ LA represent -cool2. and if you put it that way, i really like oscar robertson (averaged triple double) and jerry west (the logo), but i'd have to give the edge to jordan. it's so hard to compare players because of their different eras.

P.S. kobe's already a lock for the hall of fame. i'll be looking forward to the day we discuss kobe being inducted. ^^

hmmmm i do think jordan is the best but is very difficult to discuss people of diffrent time area the just play diffrent.
But the thing what jordan brings was a whole new tactic game agains him so in otherwords he has changed the nba for a bit.

But i rly lylyly like jordan and his style so i would choose him as my all time favorite

    well deserved it was.

  8. This reminds me of the bases of the whole Rocky Balboa movie.... pitting players from different times against each other, Jordan was a god during his basketball career, when he came out of retirement he wasn't able to keep up with most of the younger players, but during his time he was the best there was at every aspect of the game, the next generation is only following in his footsteps and setting Jordan as their bar

i think he is the best basketball player of all time for a few reasons:
_when u watch the chicago bulls play with MJ, u know something amazing will happen for sure
_when he gets the ball and fire the last shot, u know he is gonna make it (80% of the time, he still does miss sometimes xD)
_first guy to ever try to dunk from the free throw line
_he was called the guy with the most air time in the world !
_he made a whole generation watch play and love basketball, many people and players see him as their model

i loved to watch the chicago bulls, i still remember so much of their games, so much of MJ moves, so much of MJ buzzer beater, how many times people said: "he did it again" ?
he made me start to like the game then i actually played it and now i love basketball !
    basketball is my favorite sport
MJ is my favorite player of all time
i don't want any kobe or lebron top, i want a Jordan Chicago Bulls top :D

jordan is one of the best, if not the best.

nowadays, since he quit, of course there are other great players like kobe and lebron. but it's hard to compare them because they haven't played during the same time.

although even if they did, i think jordan would still beat them. jordan is just.. so versatile, can do about anything.

Well, I believe there will be better players coming in the future. No matter how you look at it, probability supports that.

He is the best and would have won more championship if he didn't took the time to play baseball.

To be honest, a great player like Kareem, Magic, Worthy, etc., were 'great'. But MJ did something NONE of them could ever. MJ revolutionized basketball inside and out. He could back it up, and his marketability was strong and still is strong !!

MJ took 1 step inside the free throw line and people gave him the godliest of praises when in fact plenty of others can dunk behind the line. - That's MJ

MJ pushed off on Bryan Russell and he got no call, a call that could've changed it. - That's MJ

The point is, MJ has done so much inside and out. His shots, his ventures into baseball, golf, movie, MTV w/ Jackson, shoes, nikes, gatrorade, etc. He revolutionized basketball !

Of course he's the greatest of all time, not sure why they waited till 2009 though. Then of course what other player has retired so many times, and played at 40, got laughed at, and still carried that drive of competition?

Jordan was the best player of his era, but its hard to say he is the best of all time. Theres been too many rule changes since he left the game, and every era of basketball is different.

I am sure that without Phil Jackson he wouldn't of won 6 titles. I mean the triangle offence WOW. Phil has won more champions than Jordan. So I think he was the best player on the best team, but not neccesarily the best player of all time. What about Magic and Bird?

  20. Agreed, there's no telling who the best of all times was since all the greats played in different eras. Magic and Bird were great in their eras and then there was Wilt and Russell pretty good. Personally, I would have to say Dr. J was the best dunker of all times though
