I think it's perfectly normal that we grabbed whatever kills when we suspect an intruder in the home. You can't take a chance by going easy on an intruder. S/he may have a gun or some sort of weapon or perhaps even bigger frame than you; then you're dead. Killing is not something typically done unless there's no other option like in this case.

My good friend's parents were killed and sisters were raped during a robbery in the home. Why? The parents caught the two but thought they were young so let them go only later they came back with guns. Up to this very day, those two still have not been caught. NEVER go easy on an intruder good or bad; let the authority deals with it if possible.
