Tried watching tvb on SopCast for the last two days and it shows that apparently the "This channel is now offline" so I tried checking the SopCast forum and it looks like they've completely stopped showing the TVB channels now :wtf:...

    please see link: http://sopcast.pxn.ca/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1251

havent checked ppslive yet...maybe thats our last resort??

plugged in some of the replies in a translator and translated as follows...

    "难道最近看sop时提示"不能得到网络数据"和"该频道已经停止",是这个原因"
("To look recently when sop prompts " Cannot obtain network data " With " This channel already stopped " , is this reason")

    "現在差不多全香港所有網上中文頻道也停播"
("Now the almost entire Hong Kong all on-line Chinese channel also stops broadcasts")

now you probably get the gist of it...
    anyone tried ppslive???????????

I guess I'm a bit late. Next time I suggest you guys update my TVB thread as well. I would have been able to tell you that the PPLive one was working just fine.

Yesterday night all channels on Sopcast were offline again, but today it's fine again. Well it's all for free (except for your Internet bill), so we can't complain.

Yep, I can't even remember the last time PPLive was down (must be more than a year ago). On the other hand, SopCast, PPStream and direct links have all been down regularly or even stopped working forever. TVAnts I don't even bother since it makes me want to smash my PC against the wall due to buffering, but usually the channels work there as well, so you might be lucky. Anyway, the quality of PPLive is a bit less though, but better something than nothing.
