Erm. Hello guys. Is there any websites out there where I can stream old or new hong kong movies online besides crunchyroll.com? I used to watch there but since few years back, that website have been a pay website.
There is already a link for J2 in Sopcast, but it does not work for everybody. I'm one of the lucky ones where it is working just fine. Never seen a link for TVB Kids, I believe the Chinese name is 兒童台. Mabye someone else can you help you with that.

3tv Does anyone have experience with http://3tv.cn ? If not, can someone who reads Chinese take a look and provide me with a summary ? I guess you have to pay to be able to watch their channels, but does it look trustful ? Do they have all TVB channels ? Thx.

I'll give this a try. The person who broadcasts the J2 channel only shares it with a private group of people. So since you are not part of that group, you basically do (or should) not have direct access to this channel. The way SopCast works though is a bit like Torrents. Every user who is streaming from the channel, also broadcasts to other users. So we all share the load with eachother. When you keep retrying to play the J2 channel it sometimes connects to one of these users instead of connecting directly to the person who is broadcasting the J2 channel, but it only does this if the user is in the same area as you. A very very veryyyyyyyy basic example to illustrate this: Let's say I have a private book (i.e. the J2 channel) that I only share with my friends. My friends all made photocopies of my book which they share with their friends. Their friends do the same and so on and so on. Then you come along and want to borrow the book directly from me, but since I do not know you I don't share my book with you. You keep trying and if you are lucky enough you will find one of your friends who made a copy of the book. Some people are unlucky and they will not find anyone with a copy of the book. Uhhh, more basic than this I don't know
^For some reason, on the day I got my new internet hooked up, I could hacked into those privated channels you provided. However, it hasn't been working since that day. I think they tracked your IP address and forbid it from getting into the so called private group.
I doubt they block your IP address. I have been using it since day one and my IP address hasn't changed. It's more likely that the users(s) you were streaming from are not available anymore in your IP range. Can't someone just try to find out how to properly access the private tracker ? I wouldn't mind paying a small amount for these channels if needed. Don't know about you guys.
From what I've understand so far there are two different versions of the program: a paid and a free one. There is also a vip account which gives you acces to more channels. I don't know yet what channels you can acces with the free program and the free account. I'll try to explore the site more this afternoon and maybe try it out. I haven't found TVB channels only an ATV (HD) channel. It seems to focus more on the Mainland channels like cctv etc. Personally I don't trust the site yet since one link links to a site with very much ads.
