Stephy Tang was donating blood at the Red Cross yesterday. She is fully recovered from H1N1 infection for a month now. Therefore, she is able to donate blood. She found out from the doctor that people who have recovered from H1N1 infection have a lot of antibodies in the blood. That antibodies can help other H1N1 sufferers and also it will help for research purposes. As Stephy's blood group is "O", she hopes she can help many people too. Stephy expressed that she was very nervous while she was giving blood. The last time she donated blood was two year ago. She has always been scared of the sight of blood, in particular having her own blood taken. Talking about her colleague Justin Lo and Gary Cao were involved in a fight, Stephy said she did send a message via the company to ask how Justin was. Stephy said she knows Justin is a warm guy who treasures his friends and family very well. She believes the two were just little kids, and they have apologized afterwards. Stephy went on to say she drinks sometimes, but she can control herself and knows how to protect herself too. She has her own boundary, and never takes up drinking when she is down. Stephy added she would eat to reduce stress or call a girl friend to cry on her shoulder when she is feeling low. Source: Wenweipo/Takungpao Translated by: R.E.D @ ***
ohhh nooeessss that skirmish look ... i never wanna give blood now ...:( i hate needles ... and im sure you cant be fully cured from H1N1 right? like you cant be fully cured from other viruses/w/e?
donating blood isnt that scary, just look away. i was very nervous @ the beginning, even more when the nurse told me she couldnt find the vein i donated a big bag of blood several months ago -woot2 she's FINE after 2 weeks jeez ppl, just a flu, kudos for stephy
It's the worst when they can't find a vein, get stab by the needle a hundred times and have blood spots under your skin that looks like black and blue...Usually on females.
she's fully recovered from H1N1, so her blood is safe. i'm a really veiny person so that's never been a problem for me. i got cookies and a t-shirt for donating a bag at my school. ^^
^that's nothing lol, my school had 2 desks of different types of food/snacks, cheezit, chocolate chip cookies, honey pretzels, brownies, trial mix, white chocolate chip cookies, assorted cup cakes....etc i dont even rmb xD and a XXXL t-shirt, wtf way too large do it when ure 17, its a good cause
wait .. wasn't she the one with HIV? did i confused her with another artist?? anyway, wow .. a t-shirt and food .. back then .. we got a lot more .. t-shirt, food, mug, backpack, flashlight, key chain, pens/pencils, sticky note, and highlighters .. i guess they're going cheap now .. lol
i think you confused her with someone else. i don't think Stephy has HIV. you can donate to get out of class for a while too.
guessing... Ur muscle contract and slightly move = bending the needle causing it to break? But yea u should never tense when taking needle haven't ur doctor ever told ya? Stephy make it look soo scary !
one thing i don't get is why do celebs have to announce to the world that s/he is doing some sort of charity work or whatever such as donating blood to the red cross. yeah we heard you stephy .. very generous of you .. your blood will sure save some lives .. lol
awww good job stephy.. i really wanna donate blood too..but im scared...esp. when its like 1 whole bag....i will someday...!!!...
