^ don't matter .. smoking is wrong for kid .. lol i dunno about china .. but smoking is cool, rich, and attractive in vietnam .. lol i had no gal hit on me when i was at the club .. until i pretend holding a cigarette .. gals move over and ask for the light .. spark flying and yeah .. even business talk ... alcohol and cigarette take care of everything in less than an hour. lol
I'm pretty damn sure that smoking does not represent status... b/c if anything, it's the labour side that does most of the smoking... It's rather just a cultural norm, almost like eating rice -_-

well .. not desperate .. but you don't wanna sit and look silly by yourself at the club/bar .. light give the gal and myself an excuse to break the ice and converse. of course, they did not smoke cuz i HATE gals who smoke and would've left if so. smoking is not normal. uneducated and uninformed people conforming to the dumb culture. personally, i question about this story. it doesn't appear real for a "4 years old" to be smoking. it ain't cheap .. family let it slide .. no way cuz there population control so each family has only one kid .. unless the family want an early grave for him, they will do everything to stop it. even the most pathetic village people know smoking is bad for kid .. or kid playing with fire ... come on now...lol i think this a photoshop pic and a make-up story.
reason why a lot of chefs smokes too, an excuse to take breaks, cause it looks really stupid if you just hanging around doing nothing. In China a lot of people smokes, it's just part of the culture, it's cool and it helps start a conversation. Although I never had to smoke in order to get a girl to come over when I was in China, you offer a drink and a girl is willing to chat and have some fun with you. It's so much easier to get a girl.

How the hell did he even first start smoking to begin with?! Children put things in their mouth to eat not to take a drag out of... And he's a kid, he wouldn't know how to take in the smoke properly without someone teaching him... I know young kids smoke, but 4 year old is out of hand...
so sad to see this, ruining the kids life before he can make his own decisions. his parents/grandparents should know better
I'll be surprised if he lives to that age... Heavy smoking will shorten your life span about 10 years but thats for heathy adult lungs which can take that crap to some degree. Being four his lungs are still too underdeveloped to handle that crap in small quantities let along in the large quantities his doing. Poor kid...
