(USA - New York) USA's People Magazine listed "35 All-Time Screen Beauties", and Malaysian Michelle Yeoh was one of the "All-Time Beauties".

Going by decade, Michelle Yeoh who represented the 1990s, was one of People's Most Beautiful in 1997; the magazine described her as having both "grace and strength" as she was Bond girl in Tomorrow Never Dies and yet the queen of martial arts in Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The other female stars who represented the 1990s included Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Looking back then, the 50s included Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and Grace Kelly. The 60s included Audrey Hepburn and Jane Fonda. The 70s belonged to the likes of Farrah Fawcett, Faye Dunaway while the 80s had Michelle Pfeiffer, Brooke Shields and Kim Basinger.

Michelle Yeoh's entry into the list this time also made her the only Chinese star chosen.

^lucy liu .. what a joke .. she's not that pretty and extremely arrogant .. in fact, she doesn't even appreciate her "azn" side ..

I think this is probably the best choice the People magazine has made thus far. Michelle Yeoh certainly deserved it. I am surprised Gong Li didn't make it. She was embraced by the American audience just as much.

Anyway, I think the People magazine chose Michelle, not cuz of her beauty, brain, or work but just one simple role - one of the Bond gals.

Lucy liu is nothing compared with Michelle Yeoh, One of the few female actresses that can do some crazy ass stunts and martial arts as far as Hollywood goes.

Gong Li is well known by Americans. Come on now, most educated people know about "Farewell My Concubine" ... hello .. Like I said, the reason Michelle probably won was due to her role as one of Bond girls. Of course, her role in Crouching Tiger also helped her appeal to a more "younger" audience. Who buy the those gossipy People magazine? Younger people who like to bitch about celebs.
