40-year-old Oselio Otero was heavily pounding the Bud Lights in Houston with family and friends, celebrating one of his kids' birthdays. But as drunks tend to do, he decided this would be a good moment to raise hell over a missing video game. He grabbed a loaded gun and began to argue with his 17-year-old son, Ignacio. The son tried to knock it away, then flee. But as Ignacio ran away, Dad shot him once in the neck, killing him. A dozen friends and family witnessed the murder. Otero mumbled that he "messed up" as he left the scene. He was found hours later hiding in the closet of a friend's apartment. Tragically, Ignacio's girlfriend was pregnant, and he was about to become a father himself.
One wonders what could have happened had the drunk had access to nuclear warheads. Bottom line, people can only shoot each other with guns if they have easy access to guns; that is, if Otero didn't have a gun, he would still be an idiot drunk, but his son would likely still be alive. :rl:
does this stuff surprise people still, human progress, were getting better rite..? anyway when you die you enter oblivion rite... so the son is dead but now he never knew he ever existed... the father can escape all possible consequence and kill himself and never know he existed and all those who are hurt can also erase themselves from existence and if they choose not to then they will soon be unaware of ever existing anyway.
So no one saw his dad bring the shot gun out or tried to stop him? Or maybe the article didnt go into the details?
^ they were prolly all drunk and/or afraid of getting shot themselves in the middle of a heated argument. i would dive out the closest window but im from the UK so i never seen a gun up close except for the patrolling armed police at work.
that is really sad... killing your own son, my god he must or should forever regret his action on that specific day.. unlucky child...
Nobody tried to stop him cuz they were afraid to or tink he was just fooling around. Who will ever think that a dad can possibly kills his own son. Speechless.
