i've been trying to decide for about 2 days now. both phones have its advantages and disadvantages. i currently am using a xperia x1 and like winmo. watching youtube vids on th tilt 2 with its winmo 6.5 looks really interesting. windows mobile is starting to have a app store just like apple does. anyone want to help me decide on which to get?
What do you need out of your phone? One of the phones i rock is the Xperia. Big fan of the device. Screen, keyboard and a flashed rom makes it just right for me. Considered the Tilt 2, but it's not very pocket friendly (my biggest issue with the device) Don't bother with the app store for winmo. Why pay when you can get them for free via a simple serial. Knoc
i love my xperia also but recently my reception has dropped to shit n i can't get good signal with my hsdpa n e more so i have to use edge. the app store would b for the free apps while dl would b for the pay. i don't really need much from a phone but i sumtimes use the features on my xperia like excel n word, appointment book, n since i have tomtom n garmin on my phone i use that too. i like to go online with my phone while i'm not at home also. games is a plus. i also like the push mail option.
You could trying flashing the device with a new radio included in one of the cooked roms. If not, then the Tilt 2 would be a nice upgrade. The screen does offer better viewing benefits for the gps etc.
^ it does and i just dropped by the store yesterday to see the phones .. tilt 2 is indeed bulky. @knoc .. i don't see xperia at the store though .. is that under att?
a lot of sony ericsson phones are unlocked. i'm under at&t. instead of it showing 3g it showed a h (HSPDA) which is almost or better than 3g. i couldn't decide so my friend suggested that i flip a coin. it came up iphone so i got that instead. not regretting it yet so hopefully long term it goes well
