im getting a used-car for school, i have 4 chosen and im having a hard time coming to a conclusion for which one i should get: 1 option: 1997 Integra; 195,000 KMs; $3,500 CAD 2 option: 1993 Honda De Sol; 60,000 KMs; $6,000 CAD (New Engine) 3 option: 2000 Honda Civic DX; 52,989 KMs; $6,000 CAD 4 option: 2004 Honda Civic; N/A KMs; $4,995 Also i would like to know whether it is better to buy from a company or private leasing... Thanks in advance -lol
Yeah I don't rate the condition of it, I think it's best to see them first and try and ask for a test drive (not sure if that's possible over there). Personally, I'd go for option 3 as it's got less distance to it and it's newer than the 1993 De Sol. And I also personally better to buy, leasing is only good in the short term IMO.
I'd take option 4 depending on the mileage. However, it feels like you'd be just perpetuating the stereotype of Asians driving Honda Civics lol.
For appearance wise: I'll pick 1997 Integra, hands down For appearance but much less mileage, I'll pick 2000 Honda Civic DX
option 2 - 60k on new engine? so the car could haev ran 300k already...it might have had problems before option 4 - come on..lets face it...2004 honda civic for 5g's? thats too good to be true unless it has reallly high km's or something is wrong with it. keeep lookin for other cars..r u goin for hatchbacks? 2 doors?
The owner of the 1993 Honda Del Sol changed the engine from a D16 to a B16 for more speed and "fun." My budget is only up to 6$ being that im still a university student =] I found a 2001 Honda Civic Si 150,000 Kms for 5,900 o.b.o Good deal?
Are you paying for it and the insurance? If you are..I'd stay with either 3 or 4 just because parts are relatively cheap to get.. Good Luck~!
Option 4 since its newer and reasonable priced. The catch is to find out the mileage done and how's the physical condition of this car.
Depends what exactly you're looking for. If it's a sports look, Integra or Del Sol. But repairs would be more expensive since it's a discontinued model compared to Civics which are so popular that you wouldn't have any problems searching for parts wether it's in used or new. I would say, check out your needs 1st and then revise your options since you're a student and I don't know if money is an issue for you.
If your budget is around 6k theres a chance you can get an rsx maybe. Check out some forums for the car you are looking at getting since you can usually get a better deal through them but if i had to pick between those 4 i would choose the newer model assuming conditions on them are about the same ish Congrats on getting a car -lol
