Hmmm i think you can't compare players with each other from diffrent time era because it is just other training style and each year players will come up with a fresh idea...

But i think Federer is a legend now even if he does not retire or do because he is the best when it comes to having titles :p can't argue with that i think...

Like his style of tennis and because of him i founded quite not attractive to watch male tennis for a while because you knew the winner will be federer... :D

Until the beats Nadal there will always be a question of his greatness. Even though his record shows he is the best. Whether Nadal can break his record is another thing. His style of game is prone for injuries, and whether he will have longevity in the game is questionable

I would say both - other player a getting better, he is making for unforced error. But he should keep his No. 1 ranking until the end of this year.

Roger lost the final in US Open which was a bit surprising

This is my opinion about Federer, Murray, Nadal and Djokovic.
Federer has an excellent first service, because it is actually
the reason for his success. (Bored)
Murray, I hate this man I do not know why. (ugly as a rat could be reason)
Nadal, good man, I love to watch his tennis.
Djokovic, I love to watch and his tennis, but I appreciate him for that reason,
is a very good imitator, and he's from my country.
Go ahead Nadal and Djokovic, my favorite.

He is still good at the game but I think he is past his prime. He used to demolish every opponent in straight sets.

Whether he lost a step is a moot point but you can't deny the fact that everyone else are getting better. Del Potro probably will be the next number one if he keep playing the way he did in the US Open. I bet even the 2006 Federer would have trouble against the current Potro.

Right now, Federer has accomplished everyone he has wanted. Everything now are bonus. Look at him in US Open Ceremony, he was chilling-bigsmiles (well maybe because it wasn't a Nadal or Murray.

I agree that sometimes the same winner can be boring but someone like Federer who can do ridiculous shots on the court is not boring. Nadal and Murray's pushing and running style is boring.

    But anyway....omg

Federer was chosen third as the best athlete of the decade by the AP(American Biased) Awards :shifty: I was shocked that Federer could even make the top 3 but congrats!

Agreed, but look whos No. 1 at the moment, and look who could be no. 1 of all time. I do believe that Federer is not at his peak of his performance, and to be honest I really think that as long as he can keep winning titles, then it won't be a downhill struggle. He is still a phenomenal player, just he isn't as good as he was in previous years.

Well it's hard to say whether he declined or other players simply gained more confidence and improved their game. Del Potro is the scariest player that gave Federer so much trouble because of forehand. The only problem with these types of players is that they are inconsistent.

Well Federer has once again reached the finals of another Grand Slam. Can Murray get his revenge from U.S Open or will Federer school him again. Go FEDDY!:D

Roger still one of the best - for Nadal all the injury seem to be catching up to him... he have not been winning like his was when ended Roger no 1 reign in the world.

the man is also getting older, but what he has achieved already is from that level that not much others will exceed him..
