    Yep, this year it is very hard year for the Western Chinese.
    Celebrating Chinese New Year with family and celebrating Valentine's Day with yar luva. It is soo hard to be a Western Chinese -rolleyes

    so true lol. If i end up going to a new years dinner with my girlfriend's parents it will be strictly no touching or PDA, which kind of negates valentines day. hahahaha.

    first of all, lets change the first line from "chinese" to "lunar" new year. vietnamese and korean celebrate the new year too; not the chinese alone.

    ok .. back to the question .. dunno since the baby is due in feb.

    The Chinese are not the only culture with a lunar calendar.
    Besides, it is not a pure lunar calendar, the Chinese calendar is a lunisolar.
    I call it Chinese, because the Chinese were the first.
    Japanese, Korean, Tibetan, Vietnamese and Cambodian New Year is based on Chinese New Year.

    hmm... unless there is a surprise/something different on valentines day for me, which i really really doubt haha (i'm so unloved ==).. then chinese new year would become valentines day for me this yr~~ XD haha..



    chinese new year?- then the usual yum cha and out and about with my friends :) ...which is a nice enough day too.

    just a usual day to me.... receiving some red pocket, thats all^^

    ive noticed that the boys here (in germany) are very cheap! haha
    we have a restaurant and on valentines day there are pretty much ppl esp. couples coming to us for dinner.
    but then they used to pay for themselves... xD

    I have already recieved my first lai c ^___^ but that's coz i'm not going ot be home for CNY and apparently my dad is going to make a bank transfer for me lol

    and V day is defo going out for a meal la!!!! Probably not going to attend the Uni CNY celebration as i heard it was utterly shit! lol
