Ok i will admit that i'm a shopaholic, i shop for clothing at least once a week even if i come back empty handed i must look and hope to find something fitting. Anyways I have a friend who sucks at shopping! This friend only goes to one or two stores and usually waits outside while i try on things and would be a drag with to shop as he skips so many stores which makes me skip!... The thing that annoyed me most was that he had to nerve to argue with me that "you can't find jeans for under $100" .. Based on his attitude and fashion i've come to the conclusion that he would not look at the style of clothing but would pick out only brand names even though they are the ugliest things ever... And so he argued with me that my Levi's are out of date and that no1 wears them anymore He thinks you can't find regular Jeans for under $100!! I mean the guy is broke as hell, bad fashion sense because he saw me buy a kick ass coat this winter, he went out to buy one except his was an old mans jacket and makes him look old (im not the only one to say this) and he thinks its better then mine, and he's tellin me this... When i'm in a store i spend at least 15 mins trying things (if the selection is large) on simply because alot of clothing look plain and ugly on the rack until you try it on... I notice alot of fashionless guys are too scared or something to hang around a store for longer then 5 mins to try things on.
buying clothes just for their name is outrageous... i'll wear anything that i think looks good on me, regardless of whether the item is a brand name or not. brand name items may not always look good, but they will more often than not have a hefty price tag. i also spend a lot of time shopping, at least 15-20 minutes usually depending on the store. i hate it when friends rush me because they're not as interested in fashion. on a side note, i believe there was a conversation like this before in the chatbox with shino and his levis.
does he only shop at holt renfrew or something? like almost all stores other than holt renfrew in malls have jeans less than 100
=p he shops like twice a year and prob with no shopping knowledge only think brands first to be cool like a 12 year old would and walked into an expensive store and bought expensive jeans and think they are all like that... i don't know how else he would think like because $100 jean would cover half his check. If i shopped at 1 or 2 clothing stores twice a year with that mentality i would think so too!
lol i think some1 already beat u to it.. my friend dad sold him a buffalo jean for $120, he thought it was badass simply for the tag but i just face palmed there are 2 types of shoppers, the ones that look good and the ones who don't
perhaps, but I don't think you need to spend alot of time trying on clothes to do so. I try on clothes just to see how they fit. people usually have an idea of how they're going to look in certain clothes so it saves the time spent on choosing an item. and of course, there are those who don't have to be defined by their clothing to look good
i guess some people are limited to the type of clothing they can wear, i happen to fall in the last group puahaha! it's about style!
I have to admit that you can get good clothes just in normal store... but branded stores usually fits you better (quality wise), however, the differences might be so little that it ain't even worth spending an extra 100$ +
I treat a visit to the stores as a good way to admire the women/girls who walk in and browse. I guess at their sense of fashion ,beauty and ask myself this- why come into this store and browse knowing that you're not going to buy or afford to buy. In this way, I keep my sanity.
Everyone has their own style but that doesnt amount to be sucky at shopping... More like an ignorant twat tbh... Maybe Gok Wan will give him a lesson on buying fashion cheaply and not always brand names to look goods Awww <3 a guy who loves to shop Take me shopping ang!! Shame my BF doesnt =,=
i should be more into clothes but im not.... i know what looks good but cant seem to fork over the money to buy them, i run on a really poor mentality when it comes to clothing.... i will buy a few new shirts every couple months, jeans the same.... but fewer. i can say that my clothes are definitely not up to date in style.... but honestly i dont really care? as long as the shirt or pants is in good condition, ill wear it till it tears....
Shopping every week, kidding me right? I used to go shopping back in grades school years but once in college and work .. no time .. I do so during the holiday and that's about it. I tend to shop online these days. Of course, I'll make sure that a local store is nearby and that I can return the items to the store if things don't fit or whatever. Frankly, I am scared of the crowd in the mall; dirty and smelly (the mall try to save money by turning the AC down and ppl sweat like a pig so yeah). I hate finding parking and lining up to pay. They take too much time (which I don't have much). I agree though, you don't and should never go for brand alone but it does save time. I remember buying clothes from CK or BR alone because I know the size and just simply clicked and ordered .. easy ..no need for fitting. The numberings are different between brands.
Try going shopping when you randomly have a holiday whilst everyone else is shopping and go whilst everyone is at work and school go and take your time at shopping and you will avoid all the crowds.. and avoid special sales which attract everyone to do the whole snatching process and what not.
TBH, I rather go grocery shopping. I usually spent about 2-3 hours going grocery shopping w/ my wife in places like Costco, Safeway, etc .. lol .. I don't know why but I care more about what I eat than what I wear .. lol I spent time reading the label and ingredient and stuffs .. you know .. all the fine print and the price tag .. lol
each to their own on how you spend your money, just don't shop with me though =p and yes i shop every week, its my form of leisure and no i don't go broke doing so. People who shop only during the holidays *pictures mom jeans and running shoes and jeans on dad* (insert sarcasm icon)
