I know this shouldn't be in any laughing matter, but it just feels like someone's going to be inspired by this incident and make a drama series or movie out of it.
I am glad Stephen Chan is out of TVB picture .. Gee .. the man seriously destroyed the company. Honestly, I haven't seen much accomplishment from his take over. He doesn't promote fairness but favoritism. All the series have been either trashy or remake of the old ones; nothing new and creative under his management. Why? Perhaps he shut all those creativity single-handedly, whom he doesn't like .. stupid mother fucker .. lock that son of a bitch up alright. It's just a matter of time before ATV take over TVB if he continues to run the company.

agree with negiqboyz @lovetvb, i understand that you grew up with tvb and that it has brainwashed you but tvbs dirty, that steve chan does promote only people he likes. despite how much scandal fala chen was in in the past shes got so much promotion in being female lead in dramas. this years shes got 3/4 dramas on, if you have read papers in hk, you would know shes steve chan's favourite. patrick tang on the other hand, previosuly he haddramas airing one after the other plus these shows, a lot of people complained about him so much, but tvb never cared because chan is his backup. he also took over amigo's show after his scandal. and that amigo, jesus you see him all the time in chinese channel, well that was before the scandal too. I think you should open your eyes and release what company tvb is. whats with all the monopoly playing around. Singers are restricted to tvb channel promotion and are only allowed to speak in mando when thay are promoting in atv. see after all that conflict going around between music companies and tvb, their relation broke a bit and now atv and icable are starting to get higher viewership ratings. I belive tvb's recent low drama ratings are caused by this too as well as poor quality. tvb dramas arent that great anyway, just because you are use to the artists since you were young does not mean that you have to blindly follow every drama they produce. theres also taiwanese, mainland and overseas. have you ever watched any atv dramas? because i have and i enjoyed them. And i grew up with both atv and tvb dramas.
I don't know, I'm not quite convinced that he had anything to do with it. He doesn't really come off as a guy of greed and stuff in that nature. My mom doesn't think so either, we're both kind of thinking maybe he just got his name dragged in because of how he supports Amigo? ;T
Honestly, I don't care about what the company have had done... I just like TVB's drama, movie, series...and dislike ATVs . That's all...
To take over TVB you need a vast amount of financial backup, and plus I think there are regulations to prevent Monopoly Free TV in HK.
TVB so far with their news broadcast is avoiding any details. I timed the 9 am news TVB only show 3 mintues and ATV news show for about 7 minutes. I wish U guy with i-cable get some news regarding how Raymond Lam , Bernice was used in this corruption? Icac already took all of Chan's PC so we going to see all those activities check records etc....
Stephen Chan Gone?! thats a reason to celebrate! dude really trashed the company with crappy rehashes, bad writing, no originality and quick bang for the buck stuff. And if ur displeased with tvb ur contract gets frozen, wtf happen to martial arts series? they release like 1 a year now.. everything is modern series or on hold. Old management was so much better. Finally the day has come for this guy to get fired and stop recruiting shitty talent and producing shitty shows. maybe thats how they win too... bribery and favouritism well.. the favouritism part we know for sure...,
it's not that surprising that someone @ TVB is accused of bribery, as the industry is dark. I'm surprised it involved someone that high in the chain. I read in other sites that he had tvb actors/actresses do ribbon cutting, singing, and promotional performances at little or no fee while he took the profit from a "shell" company. isn't that what the triads did to the industry in the late 80's? hmmm...good riddance to some of the corruption.
O yea. I totally agree wit u. I was wondering the same thing too. I want the old martial art dramas back. These so called comedic dramas was way too much for me and i hated it. I needed something dramatic like back in the days.

Don't get too happy yet folks, we really don't know much about anything yet, but it will piss off the owners, they don't want bad press and might just clean house whoever is involved. Doing something illegal is one thing, getting caught is another. If something happens to Stephen, Amigo can kiss his career goodbye.
