I think there is already a thread about this, but this one is personally about my pc >.<

My Computer is now around nearly 2 years old specs are:

    650PSU Hiper
    NZXT Case
    P5ND SLI 750i
    Quadcore Q9550
    Asetek Watercooling
    9800GTX
    4GB RAM
    -bigsmile-coolio-rockon

Ive realise it getting hotter and hotter, Last year when I play games (LEFT 4 DEAD) it was already kinder hot, but now a year later I ve been playing (LEFT 4 DEAD 2 AND BAD COMPANY2) and have realise my computer is way way hotter than before.-huh

Its actually to the near state when I touch my case where my PSU are right below it and burn myself no joke I think i can cook a steak there-chef
I've check the temp on my case and it say 70c Ive check with my actually mobo when it started up after long session gaming its 80-85c! Plus also using CoreTemp software to check kinder gives me similar readings, after gaming with bc2 CoreTemp figure are in yellow hitting the 80c mark, surely Im having a heating issue here right? The temp will gradully go down slightly if i leave it to idle for a few minutes

So yeah you guys think I need to change anything particular for my pc? e.g New PSU?-unsure

My Computer can actually heat up my room perfectly tbh-^_^

My old Q6600 setup ran cooler on air. There's something wrong with your liquid cooling setup. Those idle temps are way too hot for a liquid cooled setup. Are you overclocked at all? Can you provide more detail on the Asetek kit?

  3. make the most of it dude, pc + steak = win

    The_Jelly NSFW? :P

I'm going to go with some problems with his liquid cooling setup. No offence to the OP, but people who OC their computers are quite the fanatics/enthusiast and are pretty knowledgeable in this area and would hardly need to ask questions here anyways. So, I think its the cooling set up.However, if you're running vista it might also be a problem. I've noticed that with Vista your CPU usuage sometimes spikes for a small period of time lagging the computer and raising the temps.

i'd say soemthing with cooling as well.. im using a 3- 4 year old dual core which is meant to be a really hot cpu!! and i only go up to 60
probably check ur water cooling? if its working properly?

Yeh I think the same, Note my computer wasnt built by myself got it customise from Cyberpowersystem.co.uk, So you guys think I should ring them up and get some Info.

I dont know much about Cooling system, it just a little bit of extra £ so why not add it on :)
Addtional information: I DONT overclock and on WINDOWS 7 64bit

    Here my cooling system:

    quoted from cyberpowersystem website
Asetek Liquid CPU Cooling System For Intel LGA1366(Extreme Cooling Performance + Extreme Silent at 20dBA)***Overclockable XXX***

Fast and foolproof Installation at the OEM, as it is mounted the same way and with the same means as current solutions.
Integrated pump, reservoir and cold plate in one compact device that is smaller than a traditional heat sink.
Very few joints, which eliminates potential leaks.
Sealed and charged for its lifetime, with no worries about leaks or liquid evaporation.
Industry standard maintenance-free lifetime of 50,000 hours! (certified by independent lab).
The possibility of daisy chaining cold plates can provide cooling for multiple components, such as 2x CPU or CPU plus graphics.
Building block principle. The solution can be tailored to accommodate different form factors, performance and noise levels. Possibility for system board cooling, for instance, cooling several components on a graphics card.
For the first time, the cost of liquid cooling can compete with that of high end air cooling.

Edit: Dust plays apart as well right? My pc is abit dusty:S and ofc just turned my computer on and replying to this post check on CoreTemp the temp s on 70c already WTF...the top of my pc is already getting hot and i havent played games yet! lol where my steak?!

Oh my god, those are awful. The tubing is way too narrow so it restricts the flow of whatever coolant is inside. The tubing on my setup is half an inch thick on the inside. Anyway, on to your problem. Dust might be affecting the radiators ability to cool the liquid. Try cleaning out the radiator. I'm sorry to tell you this but that's nowhere near a high end liquid cooling setup. Things like that are comparable to high end air cooling.

The radiator is the square chunk of aluminum with fins on it.

thanks lol well that what you get when it was on offer, im planning to get a fan instead from overclockers

anyone recommend me a good fan cooler for the q9550? Nothing over £50

    Im tempted for this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-003-TQ&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395

CM Hyper 212+ you can probably get these for about $20 and they are very good for their price. It also comes with another bracket so you can set up a push/pull system with another fan. Currently idling at 30 degrees with my q6600. Although I'd make sure you case is big enough to fit these heat sinks.... because these things are HUGE.

    Get this, instead.

If you can spend a little more, get this.

Don't get me wrong, the Tuniq Tower is a very good heatink. However, it's outdated. ;)

just to update you guys i bought a cheap cpu heatskin from ebuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164438

but somehow my pc busted! refer to my other thread about burning smell computer lol, didnt have clue what to replace could have been anything out mobo cpu gfx but thank god i chose the right option and replace mobo bought a gigabyte mobo http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155486

and fix the problem ofc i binned the water cooling n using the cheap xilence cpu cooler my temp idle is 30 max load 55 sooo impressed but well disappionted had to shread £100 to fix

my q9550 was fine thank god lol

one more thing to i notice with my old mobo p5nd 750 sli my psu was very loud giving alot of power and heat with my new mobo my psu is ALOT quieter not givnng as much heat is this all due to default settings

i have that too, with 4GB ram, 4x hard drives, 8400gs video card (play no games with it) and it can be my heater in my room, no more electrical or additional heater for my room too =)

  14. ur liquid cooling setup radiator. Did u have a good fan on it? leaving the radiator to flow coolant thru with no fan means nuttin if u got no fan to push the heat out of the radiator... as for your CPU. going to 80C u prob reduced the life of it pretty quick. its still useable but be prepared. the thresholds for those are only 70 and ur not even supposed to push it that far 24/7 useage.

well you could try and open cpu side casing and get a small table fan to blow inside the casing (far better than cooling fan) if you're planning long hours of usage. It'll bring down the temperature a lot.

your CPU is hitting 85 degrees o_O
You can cook an egg on that, are you overclocking? if you're not, I would be really concerned.
