Chris Evans ("Fantastic Four" films) has accepted Marvel Studios' offer for him to play Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Joe Johnston-directed The First Avenger: Captain America. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely wrote the script. Marvel would not comment on the development, but we expect the official announcement will be made soon. The deal calls for Evans to star in at least three "Captain America" movies, with the first hitting theaters on July 22, 2011. He would reprise the role in The Avengers, which will united Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton) in one film. That film is scheduled for May 4, 2012. The character also will likely make cameo appearances in Marvel's other films. or they change all of fantastic 4 .. cause i really doubt jessicar albaand the other casts will make another movie
this guy has got to be strapped down in an asylum but yea, i didn't know an actor who has played a super hero, could take on another super hero... thing is, once you start acting a super hero, you're face will now always be associated with the super hero........ iron man? robert downey jr spider man (barf)? tobey mcguire batman? christian bale superman? no one. that last one was fail. i'd say christopher reeves still holds this rank. that dude from small ville doesn't count cuz he's not superman yet lol wolverine? hugh jackman warmachine? DON CHEADLE >=D etc etc you get the point so yea i didn't know they'd let an actor be associated with two heroes lol

They will probably reset F4 just like they do with a lot of superhero movies... I believe they are doing this with Xmen... but its more of a prequel.
I'm kind of bummed. I was hoping WIll Smith would do Captain America. Stan Lee himself wanted Will. Coulda/woulda been awesome!
