Hell no .. this guy isn't anywhere close to Susan Boyle. Frankly, friends forwarded his "amazing grace" version to me last week but I wasn't impress by his performance. On the contrary, I found the guy whom he competed against then was so much better. You can't judge the singers when they're singing two different languages. Do you see American Idol participants sing Chinese? NO. To me, this fat kid is not singing from his heart per se. He's outright impersonating Whitney's version. I don't mind listening to remixes but you gotta have your own style to it or whatever .. make it your own version. So yeah .. no good here. I'd kicked him off. See if he can sing Chinese .. this is a Taiwan competition after all .. why kept singing English .. gee... I bet he'll fail in Chinese.

lol negiq i think you need to relax and just be happy for the kid instead... the dude has talent, you can't compare him to a star, but against an average joe, this kid can sing better than any of us he's not trying to be someone he's not, he's trying to show that he can sing. so i say, instead of criticizing, just try to enjoy it i certainly enjoyed watching this performance. kid reminds me of paul potts
@Negiq - it's odd to criticize him for singing in english... I'm blown away by the accuracy of his english skills... i've never heard a FOB singing english this well, he articulates perfectly. I also watched another vid of him singing in chinese and that is excellent as well.
You're joking. Can any american idol sing even 1 sentence in a foreign language? NOPE ! But this guy, speaking Taiwanese is capable of singing and emulating WHITNEY HOUSTON down to the trebble. Can you say the same vice versa, or even compare? I don't think so. You can't fake the funk! Whitney houston is someone that has a great voice and has established a benchmark. Do you want to see people emulating Lil mama? Like wise, most chinese mimic Jacky Cheung, and there's a reason..
