Hey guys, I'm looking to get an HTC Incredible when they come out but I'm not sure about the music player in android. I tried asking some english phone forums but they don't seem like much help, hoping I can get some good answers here. With the phone I have now (E71), my music player can't display korean song names, each character just shows up as a box. Anybody with an android phone can tell me if they have that problem too?

I've read somewhere the old android 1.5 had that problem but I'm hoping they fixed it by 2.1. Thanks

  2. oh my god the android's music player is shit. there's a player you can download called "meridian" which is decent, but the developer clearly had no sense of art. it looks like shit.

this is the reason why i now carry both my nexus one AND my ipod touch.

ipod touch for music and movies, nexus one for the rest :3

I have a HTC Desire and if you want to display korean/ chinese chars you need to install 3rd party. If you would like support as standard for incred you will need to wait for it to be rooted. The Desire has been released now for nearly a month and it still has not been rooted with write access unlike hero.

1.5 never had the issue, all you needed was an android phone that had been rooted so you could install language packs.

    Thanks for the replies.

A|ex: that's exactly what I've been looking for. are language packs easy to find tho? and do u kno if u can still run sense ui on a rooted phone? i'm an android noob lol

Dan: who's the girl in ur dp?

  12. more importantly, what is the jersey she is wearing :naughty:

but misa campo is teh hootness

anyways re: your concern with characters, it seems that androind 2.0+ is correctly displaying korean and japanese characters, without the need for additional download.

I don't understand, what is so special with Android mobile.
It is created by Google but the hardware is HTC...

  16. i don't understand your point

android has no hardware components. it's a damned OS.
