Lol Refs are always bad, but the best 95% of the time the best team wins in a 7 game series. You can't pick up idiotic penalties like "unsportsmanlike like conduct" (referring to Plekanec) during the playoffs. You have to stay calm and disciplined and concentrate on winning the game.
You could take it on another player and fight. At least that might give your team an energy boost. I always facepalm when I see stupid unsportsman like conduct penalties called cause some idiot can't keep his mouth shut against refs. I do the same thing when I'm watching the NBA and crazy players get random technical cause they just can't keep their mouth shut. You get a minor... That is 2 minutes. That's bad enough, but you go and talk back so you can get another minor. A total of 4 minutes? GREAT IDEA! Shit like that costs you playoffs games. /rant Anyway... devils go home, phillies steamroll without 2 of their tops, boucher shutout. one of the teams i wanted to have win, out. wasn't just brodeur at fault. it was more like the team couldn't put pucks into the net. parise had so many opportunities missed. their D was shitty too, which put most of the work on marty. you say the goalie sucks? how about the defense that SHOULD be supporting the goalie, absolutely non-existent. same story with the habs.
Couldn't watch the end of the Pens game, but 3 OT's... Wow... Too bad the Sens won it. On that note, I really think the NHL should consider making overtime 4 on 4. Just because 3 full overtimes just take a lot of energy out of you. The rest of the series will be trash. 1 full regulation game is already a burden on your body, but when you got 3 OT's and you are basically playing 2 full regulation games in one night... That has gotta hurt. But of course I'll have all those "hardcore" hockey fans saying "Nooooo are you crazy? They gotta play full strength! Only way to prove who is better!!!" Not like a 7 game series already doesn't that for you? 95% of the time the better team wins in a 7 game series. But ya, by the end of the first OT the games become just boring to watch and it kills the players. 4 on 4 OT in the playoffs is the way to go... /rant
