I would like to share a wonderful piece of gadget essential for everybody who has been frustrated about how to watch Their RMVB file straight on their TV, No DVD or AVI conversions needed:nono:, just copy onto a USB drive and watch.-sorc It's called: WD TV mini RMVB Supported google and see its spec you won't be disappointed. I see it's an asian version Thnx anyway my knowledge has been expanded. But I still prefer the WD TV mini for the brand seeing some reviews that from buyers of the NBox. Oh and the WD TV mini is half price at the moment . Bargain when you're living in uk
whilst these products are great; but, i think i prefer something that i can load RMVB into. so, something that comes with a hard disk of some sort in it wld even be better. i don't need another power cord to power up my usb external hd.
Sweet! Definitely something I will consider when I decide to replace my old XBOX v1 (which is using XBMC) since it's not powerful enough to play HD content. Another candidate for me is the Xtreamer.
If you watch a lot of stuff from your PC to TV I'd suggest the Western Digital WD TV Live HD Media Player. So you can watch your HD stuff in addition to your RMVB dramas
i bought this wen it first arrived in australia... and it was rrp $200 >.< and hardly anyone had stock... and now prices have dropped stupidly (probably cos no1 buys them hahaha) its reasonable, small ... does the job but many eps.. it skips quite badly, doesn't decode greatly
I am using Astone MediaGear AP-110D. A liitle bit more expensive than the other but it can handle more file types.
The Asus O Play is what I bought on Amazon also. My parents loves it! =) I had the WD media player but returned it for the O Play because the O Play plays rmvd and the subtitles for my Korean dramas. I couldn't figure out how to get the WD media player to read the subtitles.
ooh, thanks for that tip tiapk7932, would be good when you don't have time to convert all them dramas to a watchable format when it can play the file at .rmvb itself and most dramas now are in HD so it wd be great and clear =)
i say the patriot box office. i had the wdtv live that didn't support RMVB and spent a good amount of time looking for a new player. i went as far as building a small htpc but still wasn't adequate enough. the patriot had everything i needed although the interface isn't as polished as the wdtv
Sumvison Cyclone MKV Media Player, It's has the same features as the WDTV live plus plays RMVB and it slightly cheaper.
I recommend AC Ryan Playon from the Netherlands. It plays all formats that I have like rmvb, mkv, dat, avi, divx. It supports selecting between multi languages, multi subtitles. Plus it allows software upgrade. It comes in 2 models, one with the capability of adding an internal hard drive. Even though it is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. I also have Iview6000R from China which has a broken dvd player after 6 months and playing rmvb or any other format files is tedious. There is just no comparison!

A better buy WD Tv is good and small, we used them at work, but for the money you pay, not reasonable. Try Lacie Lacinema media hard drive. from around £90 to £130 new, its 1TB and plays many file formats. mkv, RMVB ,avi ,etc etc. So for those who always have to do file converts or streaming for mummy, hahaha get this. kind regards, Chan
so what is the cheapest one that plays .rmvb ? a good one that wont freeze/skip i already got a HD TV with an integrated media player that plays all the .avi .mkv .mp4 files but not .rmvb :(
