Actually the former winner of TVB's Best Supporting Actor award, besides having a talent in intimations, Louis Yuen also has amazing vocals. TVB has been embroiled in the royality disputes with the Big 4 record companies for nearly half a year and still hasn't been resolved. In the last half year, <JSG> has been inviting EEG and East Asia singers to keep it going. Seeing Joey Yung, Twins, Kate Tsui and Myolie Wu every night is not only boring to you, but I'm bored too. Even TVB doesn't know what to do anymore, and has bow down to others. They decided not to focus on the big companies and change the focus to their very own label - TVB Music, relying on their own artists. TVB doing music albums, besides the generous stars helping out, they are also recycling their artists to make them a singers. We learned that popular member from the "3 Intimating Gods" Louis Yuen actually had a 22 year singer dream. Back in the day when the skinny Louis debuted, he wanted to be a Jacky Cheung, but his failure in the music scene made him turn to being a DJ at RTHK, then finally entered TVB to be a host for a music program. After a big circle, couldn't believe that the comedic Louis can become a singer again. In 1984, Louis participated in "The 3rd New Talent Singing Competition" (Winner: Dicky Cheung that year) hoping to become a singer, but lost. 3 years later he participated in the "18 District Singing Contest"(the one that helped Jacky Cheung rise to stardom) and was considered to have entered the entertainment circle. 21 years ago, he released 2 albums. His 2nd album released in 1989 entitled <My Heart> had a negative impressions when the album cover only had Louis's side view. After 21 years of no album release, Louis appeared as a guest in Susanna Kwan's 2008 concert, singing and dancing with her in Hong Kong Coliseum. TVB Music department head has interest in Louis Yuen May of last year, DJ and lyricist Mini officially left CRHK and was immediately welcomed by TVB Executive Virgina Lok. Recently Mini became the new TVB Music department head. Last week, attending the <The Voice Concert> rehearsal as the TVB Music head for the first time, she expressed to the media that besides having interest in Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong, she also has interest in exploring new blood. As TVB Music's new head, Mini of course doesn't just make singers that easy, for the artists with singer contracts outside of TVB, Mini's main interest is to wait for their contracts to end and then bring them back "home". Mini said: "The record companies really helped them, but their management company is still TVB after all. TVB producing series, movies and music is of course a good thing!" Most of the TVB singers (i.e Kate Tsui, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong) have a 2 year contract with their record company, so wait until their contracts end and bring them back to TVB! Mini says: "There are possibilities that I'll sign TVB artists, but recently I have noticed Louis Yuen. Louis debuted after entering a singing contest, has released albums, has behind-the-scenes and stage experiences, he is a well rounded experienced artist. I feel that there aren't many talents like Louis in TVB who can start singing again."
woah..okay...sounds promising..not sure how its guna work out cos obviously he can sing but reckon it'll be his image that might get him down..but he'll pull through...
Yea, the three Fuk Luk Sau's voice/singing are not bad at all.. way better than 99.99999% of the artistes today, most of the younger singers today got their fame because of their looks and not for their singing. I'll say give him a chance, but then again, who's going to buy his album? See Lais?
ridiculous! not with that face and shape... i would have prefered the other tall guy debuting... his imitations of andy and aaron are good
The younger generations doesnt really give a crap about the singers' voice or whether or not they could sing. They only look up to appearances.........dam, what have this world gone to? Someone gotta teach these younglings to look for idols that are 'actually' talented and not just beauty.
definately he's good rest of the new comers dont know wat the hell their trying to do in their albums all just beats and a few words
