It's kind of sad to see how some Asian will not date other Asians. This or to anyone who will not date their own race. This is very sad. To me, its not a matter of preference, it feels more like self hate. What do you guys think?
well, i really don't see anything wrong with interracial couples. and it depends on how you put it. not every asian girl, in your case hates their own race or anything, they would say it depends on the guy's quality. however there are cases where they really do hate their own race and prefer dating outside their race.
what's the big deal? for example, if they're a banana why would they want to date someone that is very "chinese" or even if they date another banana that persons parents are probably very "chinese" and they just dont want to deal with that. it's a personal preference. I've been on both sides of the fence. Dating a white guy and is very different from dating a chinese guy. All the chinese guys I've dated are "momma's boys" in some form whereas the white guy I dated wasnt. Dont have to worry about buying a white guys mom stuff for chinese new year or a box of moon cakes. dont take it so personally and get so upset about it. ppl probably wonder why do you just date asians and not give other races a chance?
It really is just personal preference. Some only prefer to date the same race/ethnicity because of common cultural bonds and backgrounds...some just prefer other ethnicities because of the differing culture...and some prefer both!

you're probably referring to those Asian girls who date white guys, aren't you? i wouldn't go as far as to saying 'self-hatred' just because the occasional interracial couple that you might spot at the malls. there is really nothing wrong with dating outside your race as it is certainly a matter of preference for the individual themselves. are you saying that white guys should date white guys, asians - asians, etc.. and should be forever restricted to that..? very ignorant if you ask me, and you might be the one 'not opening up'.
No, i was not referring to the asians who only date white. It is fine if they have a preference. It's one thing to say "I only date white guys or white girls" It's another to say "I don't date asian guys or asians girls, when you are asian"

my cousin is getting married in a few month to a white guy .. and she was all happy not because she found her life partner but she marrying a kennedy .. wtf .. that's what her mom claimed .. azn + kennedy = power and $$$ .. that's her goal in life. freaking SAD. not sure to congrats her or not.
I guess it is just a "personal preference" thing. We all have the right to choose... unless your parents arranges your marriage for you. Maybe they haven't come across the right asian yet, love being blinding and all when theycome across the perfect one maybe they'll change their mind?
i agree. they are probably white washed. but w/e. cant pretend to care anymore. the ones i see dating non asians most of the time are quite unpleasant to look at. i mean i sometimes hear a guy friend comment on this IR thing. then i ask "would YOU date that girl?" all of a sudden i get this face O_O please dont be silly and hate on a girl you dont even want. anyway, my sister only dates asians. 95% of my friends who are in relationships are with asians. im with the cutest asian girl ever. its not in my family, not in my friends circles, im expected to care about ugly randoms i dont even know? impossible. not even worth looking down upon.
mostly asian woman have problems dating other asian men. i dont know why but probably because they are embarrased of their own culture/heratige
It's really nothing wrong with that. However, i do think that eurasians offsprings look better than just either white or asian alone. Watcha think, heh?
