RPG for PC, try Dragon Age, that's the hottest RPG out for PC at the moment.

I personally recommend highly Fallout 3. I rate that better than Oblivion because the setting is awesome and the gameplay is great. Better story too.

I don't like strategy games, I can't be fucked to think.

 

The new StarCraft2 should be good.

RPG:in terms of gameplay i think Baldur's Gate better than Dragon Age. Even Neverwinter2

Recent FPS/hack-n-slash PC games:Resident evil5, prototype, bioshock

 

Dungeon fighter online - horrible graphics but good for some old beat em up arcade style.

 

The sims 3 is a fun game and starcraft is pretty fun aswell

 

I know this might be a bit of a different angle to what you said you like, but I hear good things about Tropico 3. There is strategy involved i think.

strategy= Age of Empires either one is good, RPG= Dungeons and Dragons =P

 

if you have not played Company of Heroes, you should definitely play it. one of the best strategy games. Game of the year 2007

i've also heard awesome things about Mass Effect. It's supposed to have an awesome story line with real science as a base... even includes an interview with a well known physicist...
