Not really, just because many Asians one encounters are from the middle class or higher (able to afford to have a fashion sense) doesn't necessary means Asians in general have a "better" fashion sense than Westerners. Consider: If Asians have better sense of fashion, why is there so little Asian designers (relative to the West)??

asians seem to have a more distinct style its all like vintagey for the most part as westerners seem to be more classic.
haha. i think an answer to that is sketchy because who really has a right to say what's fashion and what's not? each fashion style appeals to different people because of different reasons and perhaps looks better on certain people than on others so i don't know.
i think they both dress equally as nice because westerners have clothes that fit their type of bodies and asians have clothes that fit their type of bodies too... and they both have different designers which increases the range of clothes
I think my comment is gonna be out off topic, I dunno if asian dress better than western ppl. But what I wanted to say is that I like asian fashion more, like the fashion they have in Japan or Korea and maybe HK. I'm the type of person that is more into cutie stuff, and to me the western fashion is mostly the mature and maybe sexy look. >__>
This is a hard comparison to make. Each person has his/her own opinion on style depending on where you live and its surrounding influences.
it just depends on what you like more.. how can you say what fashion is better? some asians says western is better.. and say there is better.. its just depends on what people like
im asian n i dun really like all those cutie stuff its just too cornyy for me, but i dun mind them once in awhile... i really duno wether asian dress better than westerner...but i think both are nice in a different way cos asian likes diff stuff n west like diff stuff so its hard to say
this one is hard to say cause i remember when asians were always copying what westerns wear and still are sometimes today like when VonDutch became popular but at the same time more often now westerners are starting to copy what asians are wearing you can tell by just looking at the japanese street wear (the stuff that HK people copy) I've noticed a lot of american stores are starting to copy their style like lots of long long tank tops, and skirts much similar
I prefer asian fashion than western fashion because asian fashion is very simple & clean. I like wearing a shirt, jeans, and some nikes though.I am a simple girl now and do not wear all the accessories and nonsense.
first of all, why are you reviving this super old thread. Second, I like how you say you prefer asian fashion yet your username is western design lmao. I understand that doesn't necessarily mean fashion but still odd. & uhh.. I personally think western fashion is way more simple than asian fashion. asians tend to have more fancy stuff to their clothes.. whether it is lacey stuff or flowy stuff for girls and guys shirts being super flashy and stuff.. compared to American's plain tshirts and pants.. Asian style is definitely not simple. You say you don't wear the "accessories and nonsense" but asians probably wear it more than westerners do, so I don't know what you are referring to.
when we are talking about western fashion i think most of us would assume fat america.. I think asians generally dress better for the most part because we have slimmer bodies upping our chances to try on more clothing and look better. Not to say Euro fashion is bad at all, i'm just talking about America here.
